College Soccer News National Player Of The Week – Week Ending September 28, 2014

Patrick Wall – Graduate Student – Goalkeeper – Notre Dame

Wall was a force between the pipes recording his third shutout of the 2014 campaign and doing all the things that he needed to do to enable his team to secure a 2-0 win over highly regarded North Carolina.  He recorded six saves including several huge stops that fell within the exceptional category before a capacity crowd of over 3,000 fans at Alumni Stadium.  Bobby Clark summed it all up when he stated, "There is no quesiton he's (Wall) one of the reason why we won the game against North Carolina."  Clark added, "He's a game-changer and that's what a good goalkeeper is about."

Notre Dame improves to 4-1-2 with a 2-0-1 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play.  The Fighting Irish return to the pitch on Tuesday, September 30 when they host an always competitive VCU team.
