| Tola Showunmi – Senior – Forward – New Hampshire – Showunmi has been the go-to guy in New Hampshire’s offense with a team leading 10 goals and 2 assists on the season. This week he scored twice in the Wildcats 5-0 win over Stony Brook in an America East Conference contest. New Hampshire improves to 14-0-2 with a 6-0-1 mark in conference play. They will close out regular season play with an America East match on the road on Monday with UMass Lowell. |
| Tony Gomez – Sophomore – Forward – Fairleigh Dickinson – Gomez had a productive one goal and two assist evening converting a header and contributing an assist on the the goals scored by Diego Arribas and Rocky Garretson to give FDU the firepower they needed to top Howard 5-1 The Knights improve to 7-6-3 with a 5-1-2 mark in NEC play that is good for a reservation in the upcoming 2021 NEC tournament. |
| Nick Markanich – Senior – Forward – NIU – If you are looking for a guy with big play ability you need look no further than Markanich who has fourteen goals to date including five game-winners. His goal in the 84th minute of play with an assist from Anthony Markanich was the difference maker in the Huskies 2-1 win over Akron in a key Mid-American Conference contest. The win clinched the regular season title for NIU. The Huskies improve to 12-1-2 overall with a 4-0-2 mark in MAC play. NIU will close out regular season play with what could be a difficult contest on the road on Wednesday against non-conference foe Portland. |
| Hendrik Hebbeker – Senior – Midfielder – Hofstra – Hebbeker created a turnover in the box and used his touch on the ball to create the space he needed to slot a shot into the back of the frame. He also made a nice move off the dribble to create the angle he needed to drive a shot into the net to play a key role in Hofstra’s 2-0 win over Elon in CAA play. The Pride improves to 14-1-1 on the season with a 5-1-1 record in conference play. Hofstra closes out regular season play when they host UNCW in a crucial CAA matchup next Saturday. |
| Rodrigo Almeida – Senior – Midfielder – Pittsburgh – Almeida has had a breakthrough season for the Panthers adding an additional dimension to an already explosive Pitt offense. This week he contributed three helpers in Pitt’s 5-1 win over Massachusetts and scored Pitt’s second goal in their subsequent 4-1 win over a very good Virginia Tech team to claim a share of the ACC Coastal Division title. The Panthers begin play in the ACC Tournament on Sunday with the winner of the Virginia Tech and Boston College matchup. |
| Pedro Dolabella – Graduate Student – Midfielder – Marshall – Dolabella scored twice with Milo Yosef contributing the assist on his first goal and Alexnder Adjetey assisting on the second. He also contributed the assist on Yosef’s goal to help power the Thundering Herd past South Carolina 4-0 in a CUSA matchup. Marshall improves to 11-1-3 with a 5-0-2 mark in conference play. The Herd will conclude regular season play with a contest against FIU on the road with the regular season CUSA title on the line. |
| Seth Kuhn – Senior – Midfielder – Penn State – Kuhn had a very productive week of play for the Nittany Lions. He scored in Penn State’s 3-2 win over Maryland with an assist from Peter Mangione. In their subsequent 2-0 win over Wisconsin in Madison he sent a left-footer into the top-left corner after receiving a pass from Danny Bloyou and lofted an amazing bending ball from the touch line that found its way into the far left corner of the frame. Penn State secured the Big Ten regular season title with a 6-0-2 mark in conference play and the number one seed in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament. |
| Lewis McGarvey – Sophomore – Defender – Duke – It was a close call for the Blue Devils but super sophomore McGarvey came through in the clutch when he sent a header into the net in the 97th minute of overtime to enable Duke to top a determined Virginia side 3-2. Duke improves to 11-3-1 with a 5-2-1 mark in ACC play The Blue Devils will begin play in the ACC tourney on Sunday against the winner of the Wake Forest and Virginia match. |
| Jonathan Sousa – Graduate Student – Defender – Loyola Maryland – Sousa was at the right place at the right time to punch a cross from teammate Jordy Luchies into the net at close range in overtime to give the Greyhounds the big play they needed to secure a 1-0 win over Army in a Patriot League matchup. He was also part of of solid Loyola Maryland defense. The Greyhounds close out regular season play with a Patriot League contest on the road on Wednesday against Bucknell. |
| Adrian Fernandez – Junior – Goalkeeper – Oregon State – Fernandez anchored a stout Oregon State defense that shutout Stanford 1-0 and California 2-0 to secure two solid Pac-12 wins. Fernandez had an eight save weekend that included the key stops he needed to make to put his team in position to win. Oregon State improves to 11-1-2 with a 6-0-1 mark in conference play. The Beaves travel to face San Diego State on Thursday and UCLA on Sunday. |
| Chandler Hallwood – Redshirt Junior – Goalkeeper – Marquette – Hallwood had a nine save evening including a crucial save of a penalty kick to anchor a Marquette defense that shutout Georgetown 1-0 to earn the programs first ever win over a top-ranked team. Redshirt sophomore AJ Franklin netted the game-winning goal for the Golden Eagles who concluded regular season play with a 7-8-1 overall record and a 4-5-1 record against Big East competition. |
