Eleanor Dale – Senior – Forward – Nebraska
Dale, the 2023 Big Ten Forward of the Year, is an explosive goal scorer and impact player who leads the country in goals scored with 25 on the season. She scored twice this week, her 10th brace of the season, to power the Huskers past Ohio State 3-2 in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Florence Belzie and Abbey Schwarz assisted on Dale’s first goal and Belzile and Jordan Zade provided the helpers on her game-winning strike.
Dale is among the reasons why Nebraska has won seven straight to improve to 14-2-3. The Huskers advance to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament where they will face Wisconsin on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio.
Wisconsin advanced to the semifinals by topping Rutgers in a match that was decided by a penalty kick shootout after it was scoreless at the conclusion of 110 minutes of play.
Nebraska and Wisconsin tied 1-1 when the two teams faced each other in Lincoln in September during regular season play.
