College Soccer News National Player Of The Week – Week Ending October 12, 2014

Colin McAtee – RS Junior – Midfielder – Michigan

McAtee who is from San Diego, California scored three goals to lead Michigan past Notre Dame 3-2 at U-M Soccer Stadium. His first goal was a header out of a corner kick that was put in play by teammate Tyler Anderson in the 21st minute of the contest. His second goal came less than a minute later after receiving a cross from teammate Tyler Arnone at the top of the eighteen which he drove into the lower right corner of the goal.  His third goal and the game winner came in the 83rd minute of play out of a corner kick again put in play by Anderson. McAtee also netted his sixth goal of the year in Michigan's 3-0 win over Rutgers.  

Michigan has now won three straight to improve to 4-5-2 with a 2-1-2 mark in Big Ten Conference play.  The Wolverines will seek to keep their winning streak alive when they tangle with an always competitive Akron side on the road on Tuesday, October 14.
