JJ Williams | Junior | Forward | Kentucky |
Williams came up big for the Big Blue Nation when he scored twice in the first half of play to propel Kentucky past in-state rival Louisville 3-0. His first goal when he made a nice move to create space after receiving a well played long ball from teammate Tanner Hummel. His second goal was a header set up by a pass from Hummel and a cross from Marcel Meinzer. Williams also contributed the insurance goal with an assist from Meinzer in Kentucky's 2-0 win on the road over UAB in CUSA play. The Wildcats are off to a 4-0-0 start for the first time since the 2009 season. Williams and his Kentucky teamates will seek to keep their win streak alive when they travel to Cincinnati to face Xavier on Tuesday. |
