The Gainbridge Super League Final was last week, with Lexington SC beating the Carolina Ascent 3-1 in extra time. Earlier that week, the Super League’s All-League First Team was announced, which included three former ACC players, the most of any Division I conference.
Here’s a look at the three former ACC players who were featured in the 2026 Gainbridge All-League First Team:
Emily Colton – DC Power – Formerly UNC/Wake Forest
Colton played three seasons with the North Carolina Tar Heels, totalling 18 goal contributions (10g/8a). She then finished college at Wake Forest, where the midfielder made 16 starts with four goals and six assists in 2024. Colton led the Gainbridge Super League with 51 chances created as a rookie.
Amber Wisner – Dallas Trinity FC – Formerly UNC
Wisner brought plenty of professional experience to Dallas Trinity FC and has been one of the top performers in the Super League, earning All-League honours for the second straight season. Wisner helped the Tar Heels win two National Titles (2009 and 2012).
Ashlyn Puerta – Sporting Club Jacksonville – Formerly Florida State
Puerta played one season at Florida State (2024), helping the Seminoles win the ACC Tournament Championship. She finished the campaign with nine goal contributions (4g/5a). In her first professional season, the midfielder lit the Super League on fire with 19 goal contributions (12g/7a), ranking second in the league.
