Amirah Ali – Senior – Forward – Rutgers

Ali has been a key part of an historic Scarlet Knight 2021 season in which the Scarlet Knights have forever raised the bar of excellence by claiming the programs first ever Big Ten Title with a perfect 10-0-0 record in regular season Big Ten play.

This week Ali scored Rutgers first goal in their 2-0 win over Big Ten opponent Indiana. Rutgers midfielder Frankie Tagliaferri (12g, 7a), who combines with Ali (8g, 5a) to give Rutgers an explosive duo that is been difficult for opponents to contain, added the insurance goal in the win over Indiana.

Ali also scored twice to play a key role in Rutgers subsequent 3-0 win over Big Ten rival Illinois.

The Scarlet Knights have scored a total of 52 goals season to date while allowing a total of only 12 and recording a 15-2-0 overall record.

Ali and her Rutgers teammates have now won eleven games in a row and look to be a team with its sights set on keeping that steak alive.
