Giovanni Montesdeoca – Senior – Forward – North Carolina
Montesdeoca who is from Dallas, Texas has been a difference maker and sparkplug on the offensive side of the ball for the Tar Heels. This weekend he converted a penalty kick after being fouled in the box and contributed the assist on teammate Riley Thomas’ goal in North Carolina’s 2-0 win over Virginia. The prior weekend he scored twice to help power the Tar Heels past a very good Pittsburgh team.
North Carolina is now 5-3-2. The Tar Heels will seek to extend their winning streak when they travel to face an always tough Syracuse team on Saturday, March 20.
