College Soccer News – National Team Of The Week – Week Ending November 13, 2016

Foster Langsdorf – Junior – Forward – Stanford Langsdorf converted a header in overtime to give the Cardinal the edge they needed to top California 2-1. The goal was Langsdorf's fifth game-winner in the 2016 campaign. Stanford improves to 11-3-4 overall with an 8-1-0 mark in conference play to secure the Pac-12 Conference title for the third consecutive season. 
David Goldsmith – Senior – Forward – Butler  Goldsmith continues to be an impact and difference maker for Butler. He contributed an assist on teammate Eric Leonard's game-winner in Butler's 2-1 win over Creighton in the Big East Tournament final. He also scored the game-winning goal in overtime in the Big East Tournament semifinals to give the Bulldogs the edge they needed to top Villanova 1-0. Butler imnproves to 13-5-1 and returns to the NCAA Tourney for the first time since 2010. 
Ethan Kutler – Senior – Forward – Colgate Kutler scored a total of five goals in the Patriot League Tournament to help the Raiders top Army 3-0, Loyola 3-1 and to prevail in a penalty kick shootout over American in the championship contest after the score was knotted at 1-1 at the conclusion of regulation and overtime. Colgate earned its sixth Patriot League title and advances to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time.   
Danny Musovski – Junior – Forward – UNLV Musovski scored twice including the game-winner to lead the Rebels past Air Force 2-1 in the championship game of the WAC Tournament.  He also assisted on teammate Spencer Jackson's game-winner in UNLV's 1-0 win over Utah Valley. UNLV earns their seventh berth into the NCAA Tourney.   
Nick Hinds – Freshman – Midfielder – Akron Hinds scored twice to lead the Zips past Buffalo 2-1 in the Mid-American Conference Championship game to secure Akron's 13th MAC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the 31st time. He also contributed an assist in Akron's 4-0 win over Western Michigan in the semifinals of the MAC Tournament.  
Oscar Rivero – Senior – Midfielder – UIC Rivero contributed a goal in UIC's 2-1 win over Milwaukee. He also scored the game-winner to help the Flames defeat a very good Wright State team 1-0 to secure the 2016 Horizon League Championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. 
Ian Harkes – Senior – Midfielder – Wake Forest Harkes has been a key factor for the Demon Deacons all year. He contributed a goal and an assist to help Wake Forest top Clemson 3-1 in the ACC Tournament Final. For his effort Harkes was named the ACC Tournament MVP. The Demon Deacons secure the ACC's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, avenge a regular season loss to Clemson, and improve to 15-2-3 overall. 
Chris Wehan – RS Senior – Midfielder – New Mexico  Wehan had a productive week of play scoring once in New Mexico's 3-0 win over FIU in the CUSA Championship contest. He also contributed a goal in the Lobo's 2-1 win over Charlotte. For his efforts he was named the CUSA Tournament MVP.  The Lobos improve to 12-6-2 overall and secure their first CUSA Championship since joining the conference three years ago.   
Patrick Hickman – RS Senior – Defender – CSUN HIckman was a key part of a solid CSUN defense that tied Sacramento State 0-0 in the semifinals of the Big West Tournament and then prevailed in a penalty kick shootout. The Matadors also topped Cal State Fullerton 2-1 to claim the Big West Tournament Championship and secure the conference's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.  
Thomas de Villardi – Senior – Defender – Delaware de Villardi contributed on both sides of the ball as Delaware topped the College of Charleston 2-1 and William and Mary 2-1 to win the CAA Tournament Championship to earn the conference's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. He assisted on Thibault Philippe's goal in the win over the College of Charleston and was rock solid on the defensive side of the ball in both contests. de Villardi was named the MVP of the CAA Tournament. 
Austin Ledbetter – Senior – Defender – SIUE Ledbetter contributed a goal in SIUE's 2-1 win over Evansville in the MVC Tournament semifinals. He also was a key part of an SIUE defense that shutout Missouri State 1-0 in the championship contest. SIUE head coach Mario Sanchez stated, "This kid (Ledbetter) is rock solid and the backbone of this team."  SIUE improves to 10-4-5 overall and secures the MVC's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. 
Eli Roubos – Junior – Defender – FGCU Roubos scored twice including the game-winner to help FGCU top Jacksonville in the ASUN championship final. The Eagles improve to 14-3-2 overall and head into the NCAA Tournament with momemtum.   
Jeremy Booth – RS Junior – Goalkeeper – Macon Booth anchored a Mercer defense that shutout Wofford 2-0 in the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament and upset ETSU in the championship match when they advanced on penalty kicks after the contest was scoreless at the end of regulation and overtime. Booth made the key stops he needed to make including a key stop during the shootout to put the Bears in position to prevail. Booth was named the Tournament MVP and Mercer earned the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
