College Soccer News National Player Of The Week – Week Ending October 19, 2014

Guillermo Delgado – Sophomore – Forward – Delaware

Delgado, who hails from Tres Cantos, Spain, netted the game winning goal with just sixteen seconds remaining in the second overtime period to give Delaware a 1-0 victory over Hofstra in a key Colonial Athletic Association matchup.  He also scored what proved to be the game winning goal in Delaware's 3-1 win over William and Mary.

Delgado is a pure finisher who has netted ten goals so far in the 2014 season. Delaware's win over William and Mary assured the Blue Hens of having back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1984-1985.

Delaware is now 10-4-0 with a 3-1-0 record in CAA play. They will return to the pitch again when they host Northeastern on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium.
