College Soccer News – Men’s National Team Of The Week – Week Ending February 14, 2021

the college soccer news team of the week recognizes individuals who played a key role in the success their teams had during the week.

Joe Kouadio – Junior – Forward – Wright State – Kouadio scored twice including the game-winner in overtime in Wright State’s 3-2 win on the road over Detroit Mercy. Wright State improves to 1-1-0.
Gloire Amanda – Junior – Forward – Oregon State – Amanda had a productive week of play netting the game-winning goal in Oregon State’s 1-0 win over Portland and scoring twice in their 2-0 win over Gonzaga. The Beavers improve to 3-0-0.
Ronaldo Brown – Junior – Forward – Loyola Marymount – Brown drove a header inside the far post after receiving a cross from Narcisa Cervantes to give the Lions the edge they needed to top UCLA in their season opener.
Papa Ndoye – Sophomore – Forward – SMU – Ndoye scored two of the first three goals in SMU’s dominant 7-0 win over South Florida in Tampa. The Mustangs improve to 2-0-0.
Andrew Halloran – Junior – Forward – South Carolina – Halloran contributed a hat trick to power the Gamecocks past Wingate 4-2 in their spring season opener. South Carolina improves to 4-2-0.
Zyan Andrade – Junior – Midfielder – Marquette – Andrade came through in the clutch for Marquette scoring the game-winning goal with eight seconds remaining in the first overtime period to give the Golden Eagles the edge they needed to secure a 1-0 win over Saint Louis. Marquette improves to 3-0-0.
Abel Gebrekiros – Senior – Midfielder – Gardner-Webb – Gebrekiros scored twice to lead Gardner-Webb to a 5-0 season opening win over VMI. The Running Bulldogs will seek to build on that win when they travel to face High Point on Sunday, February 21.
Saahb Kular – Redshirt Sophomore – Defender – Cleveland State – Kular was a key part of a solid Cleveland State defense that shutout Robert Morris 2-0.
Noah Singelmann – Sophomore – Defender – Syracuse – Singelmann contributed the assist on the goals scored by teammates Abdil Salim and Jeorgio Kocevski in Syracuse’s 2-1 win over Hofstra.
Anderson Rosa – Freshman – Defender – UCF – Rosa was solid on both sides of the ball. He contributed an assist on forward Gino Vivi’s game-winning goal and was part of a stout UCF defense that shutout a good Temple team 1-0 on the road.
Charlie Collins – Junior – Defender – LaSalle – Collins contributed a helper on the goals scored by teammates Sam Decencio and Omari Cotterell in Lasalle’s season opening 2-1 come from behind win over Villanova.
Daniel Kuzemka – Redshirt Junior – Goalkeeper – Charlotte – Kuzemka had six saves in goal to anchor a solid Charlotte defense in the 49ers season opening 0-0 tie with Duke.
