Adrian Nunez – Freshman – Forward – North Florida | Nunez scored twice to get the North Florida attack on track in their 3-2 come from behind upset win over FGCU in a key ASUN contest. Mickey Connell netted the game-winning goal for the Ospreys. Nunez also converted a penalty kick to help UNF top Stetson 3-2 in ASUN play. The Ospreys are 8-3-1 overall with a perfect 4-0-0 mark in conference play. | |
Andre Shinyashiki – Sophomore – Forward – Denver | Shinyashiki netted the game-winning goal out of a corner kick served in by Karsten Hanlin with eight seconds remaining in the second overtime period to propel Denver to a 2-1 win over New Mexico in a non-conference contest between two familiar foes. He also scored from eighteen yards out after receiving a pass from Chandler Crosswait to help Denver top Oral Robers 2-0 in a Summit League game. The Pioneers improve to 14-0-2 overall with a 5-0-0 mark in conference action. | |
Alex Heilmann – Senior – Forward – CS Fullerton | Heilmann decisively drove a header just inside the right post after receiving a well played cross from teammate Robert Coronado in Cal State Fullerton's 3-1 win over UC Irvine. He also drove a shot into the far past from ten yards out after receiving a pass from Ros McPhie to net the lone goal of the evening to give the Titans the edge they needed to top UC Riverside on the road 1-0. Cal State Fullerton has now won three in a row to improve their record to 8-8-1 with a 4-3-1 mark in Big West Conference play. | |
Siggi Benonysson – Freshman – Forward – HPU | Benonysson continues to be at the center of the High Point University offense. This week he contributed a goal to help the Panthers top Winthrop 2-1 in a contest that was determined in overtime. He also provided the assist on teammate Jon Bolanos's game winner in HPU's 1-0 win over Radford. Benonysson has scored ten goals and has four helpers so far this year. The Panthers improve to 10-3-2 overall with a 4-1-0 mark in Big South Conference play. | |
Luka Prpa – Freshman – Midfielder – Marquette | Prpa scored Marquette's first two goals in their 4-1 win over Xavier in Big East play. Junior midfelder Daniel Szczepanek and freshman forward Connor Alba also contributed goals in the win. Prpa has scored a total of eight goals and added six assists so far this year. Miguel Polley – RS Junior – Midfielder – Villanova | Polley assisted on the goals scored by teammates Eric McKenna and Lucas Hodges and contributed a goal in Villanona's 4-0 win over Penn. He also scored out of a free kick from eighteen yards out to give the Wilcats the edge they needed to top Creighton 1-0. Villanova improves to 10-5-2 overall with a 3-2-1 mark in Big East play. | |
Brandon Williamson- Freshman – Midfielder – Duke | Williamson's first two goals as a Blue Devil were huge as they enabled Duke to secure a 2-1 come from behind win over Notre Dame in an ACC contest. His first goal was a bullet into the right corner of the goal. His game-winner in overtime came after receiving a well played cross from freshman Max Moser which Williamson controlled and sent into the back of the frame. The Blue Devils also topped Campbell 3-2 in a non-conference match earlier in the week. Duke improves to 6-6-2 overall and 2-4-1 in conference play. | |
Brandt Bronico – Senior – Midfielder – Charlotte | The Charlotte midfielder from High Point, North Carolina had a hat trick that included the game-winning goal in the 49ers 5-0 win over UAB in a CUSA contest. Bronico produced the hat trick on just four shots. Charlotte also tied Virginia Tech out of the ACC 0-0 on the road. Bronico is a key element of a 49er team that is 9-2-1 overall. | |
Aram Ouligian – Sophomore – Defender – Colgate | The sophomore back from Needham, Massachusetts had a solid week of play on both sides of the ball. He was part of a solid Raider backline that shutout New York rival Hartwick 1-0 in a non-conference contest in which Ethan Kutler produced the lone goal and a 1-0 Patriot League victory over Navy in which Ouligian provided the game-winner. The win over Navy was the 100th carreer win for Raider head coach Erik Ronning with all coming during his tenure to date as the Colgate head coach. Colgate improves to 10-4-1 with a 4-1-1 mark in League play. | |
Alex Crognale – Senior – Defender – Maryland | Crognale earned a repeat spot on the CSN National Team of the Week with a two goal evening in Maryland's 2-1 win over Hofstra. Gordon Wild assisted on the first goal and Amar Sejdic supplied the helper on the second. The Terps also topped American 2-1 with Sejdic and Wild contributing a goal each. Maryland improves to 13-0-2 overall with a 6-0-1 mark in conference play. | |
Alec Ferrell – RS Senior – Goalkeeper – Wake Forest | Ferrell continues to take care of business between the pipes for the Demon Deacons who have allowed a total of only seven goals to date. Ferrell had a three save evening to anchor a Wake Forest defense that shutout a solid South Carolina side 1-0 at Stone Stadium in Columbia. He also had seven saves including several big time stops as Wake Forest shutout a good Boston College team 1-0 in an ACC contest. The Deacons have won four straight to improve to 12-2-2 overall with a 5-1-1 mark in ACC play. |
