No player in the country had more of an impact on the success his team enjoyed this week than Lacerda. His three goal week enabled Valpo to win back-to-back games for the first time this year. Lacerda netted the game-winning goal in Valpo's 2-1 win over Eastern Illinois when he scored out of a free kick from ten yards outside the box in the eighty-fifth minute of play. He also provided the assist on teammate Akeem Bradford's goal. Lacerda followed that contest up with goals from fifteen and thirty-five yards out to lead Valpo to a 2-0 win over Bradley on the road in a Missouri Valley Conference match. Valparaiso will seek to keep their win streak alive when they host Central Arkansas on Saturday. |
