Beau Leroux played three seasons at San Jose State, but his standout year was as a sophomore. He earned All-WAC First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team honors that second season, starting 19 games and scoring seven goals. He suffered a knee injury in his junior year, cutting his college career short.
After college, Leroux was drafted 42nd overall by the San Jose Earthquakes and spent 2024 with their MLS NEXT Pro team, The Town FC. He made 24 appearances with The Town and had six goal contributions (5g/1a).
The midfielder signed a new deal with San Jose for the 2025 season, and Head Coach Bruce Arena put him in the starting lineup on opening night, and he responded by providing an assist. He has been a regular starter ever since.
Leroux has played over 1400 minutes in MLS with 17 starts and seven goal contributions (4g/3a), and he has shown some highlight reel finishing ability from distance like the rocket he scored this past weekend.
He has helped San Jose improve from a horrid 2024 season into a playoff contender as they currently sit sixth in the Western Conference. Leroux will be one to watch in MLS as the season continues, as the former San Jose State Spartan has been a standout performer so far in 2025.
