| Emily Gaebe – Junior – Forward – Saint Louis – Gaebe was on her game scoring twice and and contributing two assists to help power the Billikens past Massachusetts 6-0. She also scored Saint Louis’ first goal with an assist from Emily Groark in a subsequent 5-0 win over Rhode Island. The Billikens secure two wins in A-10 play to improve to 12-2-2 with a 7-0-1 record in conference play. Gaebe has nine goals and six assists on the season. The Billikens will close out regular season play with a game at home against Duquesne on Thursday followed by a game against Saint Joseph’s on Sunday in Philadelphia. |
| Skyleigh Thompson – Junior – Forward – Montana – Thompson was a catalyst on the offensive side of the ball for the Grizzlies scoring their first goal in a 2-1 come from behind win over Northern Arizona. She also assisted on the goal scored by teammate Abby Gearhart and converted a penalty kick in Montana’s subsequent 3-0 win over Northern Colorado on the road. Montana improves to 11-2-3 overall with a 5-0-1 record in Big Sky Conference play. They close out the regular season contests with contests at home on Thursday against Sacramento State and Portland State on Sunday. |
| Ella Gagno – Junior – Midfielder – Quinnipiac – Gagno and her Quinnipiac teammates had a very productive week. Gagno contributed a goal in the Bobcats 6-1 thumping of Marist and scored the game-winning goal with a helper from Courtney Chochol in their closer than expected 3-2 win over the Siena Saints. Quinnipiac improves to 9-3-0 with a perfect 7-0-0 mark in MAAC action. |
| Marlee Taylor – Fifth Year – Midfielder – Dayton – Taylor scored out of a free kick and contributed an assist on one of teammate Kyra Karfonta’s two goals in Dayton’s 3-0 win over George Mason. She also scored and assisted on the goal scored by Laney Huber to help the Flyers top Loyola Chicago 2-0. Dayton picks up two wins in A-10 play to improve to 11-1-5 overall with a 6-0-3 mark in conference play. The Flyers extend their unbeaten streak to ten games and will complete regular season play with an A-10 game on the road on Sunday against Rhode Island. |
| Yao Giada Zhou – Senior – Midfielder – Tennessee Tech – The 2022 OVC Midfielder of the Year scored twice to help Tennessee Tech edge UT Martin 3-2. She also served in the corner kick that Neve Renwick headed into the back of the frame in the Golden Eagles subsequent 1-0 win over Southeast Missouri. Zhou has six goals and six assists on the season. Tennessee Tech is unbeaten in nine straight games to improve to 7-4-4 with a 6-0-1 record in OVC play. The Golden Eagles travel to face Morehead State on Thursday with the OVC regular season title on the line. |
| Onyi Echedini – Senior – Midfielder – Florida State – Echedinia is a play maker. She scored twice during the first half of play to set the pace for the Seminoles in a key 4-1 win over a highly regarded Notre Dame team before an enthusiastic crowd at the Seminole Soccer Complex. Echedini has eight goals and three assists on the season. FSU improves to 11-0-1 with a 6-0-1 mark in ACC play. |
| Kenzie MacMillan – Junior – Midfielder – Boise State – MacMillan played a key role in Boise States’ 1-0 win over San Jose State and their 2-1 win over Fresno State. She contributed the lone goal with a double assist from Carly Cross and Cindy Conner in the win over San Jose State and scored what proved to be the game-winner in the victory over Fresno State. The Broncos secure two good wins in Mountain West play and clinch a spot in the conference tournament. Boise State is 8-2-6 with a 6-1-1 mark in conference play. |
| Cailey Welch – Graduate Student – Defender – Hofstra – Welch put in two solid 90 minute shifts for a Pride defense that shutout CAA foes Elon 2-0 and Delaware 1-0. Elon was held to no shots on goal and Delaware was limited to only three shots on frame. Hofstra improves is 11-3-1 with an 8-1-1 mark in conference play. The Pride continues conference play with contests on the road against Monmouth on Thursday and Towson on Sunday. |
| Keira Vesy – Junior – Defender – Army – Vesy has been a stalwart on the defensive side of the ball for the Black Knights. She was a key ingredient in a stout Army backline that shutout Lafayette 2-0 holding them to only five shots on goal. She also put in another solid ninety minute shift to help Army secure a good 2-1 win over rival Navy. The Black Knights earn two wins in Patriot League play to stand at 7-6-3 with a 4-2-1 mark in conference play. |
| Makenna Morris – Senior – Defender – Clemson – Morris has been an impact player at Clemson since arriving on campus as a freshman in 2020. Morris converted a penalty kick to net the lone goal in Clemson’s 1-0 win over a very good Duke team. She was also a part of a Tiger defense that shutout the Blue Devils limiting them to a total of only two shots on goal. Morris has seven goals and five assists on the season. Clemson secures a big ACC win to improve to 11-1-3 overall with a 5-1-1 mark in conference play. |
| Taylor Poland – Senior – Goalkeeper – Saint Mary’s – Poland, an experienced four-year starter, had ten saves to anchor a Gael defense that shutout a high octane Gonzaga attack to secure a hard fought 1-0 win over the Zags. Poland now has 20 career shutouts. Saint Mary’s halts a three game losing streak to improve to 7-5-2 with a 1-3-0 mark in WCC play. The Gaels will seek to keep their momentum going when they travel to face San Diego on Wednesday. |
| Kaitlyn Williams – Junior – Goalkeeper – Binghamton – Williams earned a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week with a solid ten save evening during which she anchored a tenacious Binghamton defense that shutout a good Vermont team 2-0 in an America East Conference matchup. The Bearcats are unbeaten in their last seven contests to stand at 5-4-5 with a 4-0-2 mark in conference play. Binghamton resumes America East play when they host the University of Maine on Sunday. |
