| Hannah Leitner – Junior – Forward – New Mexico State – Leitner contributed the assist on the second of teammate Shea O’Connor’s two goals in the Aggies 2-0 win over UC Davis. Leitner followed that up by contributing the assist on teammate Megan Ormson’s goal and scoring two goals to help propel New Mexico State past WAC rival Nevada on the road. New Mexico State begins the year with a 3-0-0 record for the first time in program history. |
| Michelle Cooper – Freshman – Forward – Duke – Cooper scored twice with Tess Boade contributing the assist on both goals as Duke rolled past Western Carolina 6-0. in Duke’s subsequent 2-0 win over Vanderbilt in Nashville, Cooper was taken down inside the 18-yard box resulting in a penalty kick which Boade sent into the back of the net. She also contributed the assist on teammate Mackenzie Pluck’s goal in the win over the Commodores. The Blue Devils will put their 4-0-0 record to date on the line when they host highly regarded Stanford on Thursday. |
| Channing Foster – Senior – Forward – Mississippi – Foster had another productive week of play for Ole Miss. She found the back of the net twice in a 4-2 win over Middle Tennessee. She also had a nine shot evening that included the game-winning goal with a double assist from Haleigh Stackpole and Mo O’Connor in a 2-1 on the road win over Arkansas State. The Rebels improve to 2-0-1 and now travel to Mobile to tangle with South Alabama on Thursday. |
| Linda Boama – Sophomore – Forward – Boston College – Boama had a very productive week on the offensive side of the ball for the Eagles. She netted the first of three Boston College goals in a fifteen minute span in a 3-1 win over Massachusetts when she alertly controlled a loose ball and sent it into the back of the frame. She also assisted on the goal scored by teammate Ella Richards. In Boston College’s 3-1 win over local rival Boston University, Boama slotted a shot into the top shelf of the goal after running onto a well played long ball served in by teammate Haley Thomas. Boama scored for the third time during the week and contributed an assist on Ella Richards goal to help power Boston College past Connecticut 4-1. The Eagles improve to 4-0-0. |
| Thais Reiss – Graduate Student – Forward – North Florida – Reiss continues to be a difference maker for the Ospreys. Reiss played a volley just inside the right post with a double assist from Carmel Oliveira and Emma Voigt to give North Florida the edge they needed to top FIU 1-0. She followed that up by directing a header into the upper right shelf of the net out of a corner kick served in by Kayla Bond in North Florida’s 1-0 win over Mercer. The Ospreys improve to 3-1-0. |
| Maya Doms – Junior – Midfielder – Stanford – Doms netted a hat trick to power Stanford past CSUN 7-0. Two of her three goals came in the first fifteen minutes of the match. She also assisted on teammate Belle Briede’s goal in Stanford’s subsequent 6-0 thumping of San Diego State, The Cardinal now travel east to face Duke on Thursday in Durham and North Carolina on Sunday in Chapel Hill. |
| Elyssa Nowowieski – Junior – Midfielder – Campbell – Nowowieski scored Campbell’s lone goal alertly placing the rebound of teammate Hayley Krahenbil’s blocked shot into the back of the frame in Campbell’s 1-1 tie with N.C. State. She also placed a shot into the lower left corner of the goal from 20 yards out to score the first of Campbell’s four goals in a 4-1 win over Mount St. Mary’s. The Camels improve to 1-1-1 after a season opening loss to Georgia. Campbell travels to face East Carolina on Thursday and hosts Charlotte on Saturday. |
| Barbara Olivieri – Sophomore – Midfielder – Texas A and M – Oliveri helped the Aggies get into the win column after tough season opening losses on the road from FSU and TCU. She scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with an assist from freshman midfielder Mia Pante and contributed the helper on sophomore Kate Colvin’s insurance goal in Texas A and M’s 3-1 win over a very good Clemson team. The Aggies are now 1-2-0. |
| Brina Micheels – Sophomore – Midfielder – Western Kentucky – Micheels skillfully placed a shot in the upper right corner of the frame with an assist from graduate student defender Avery Jacobsen and converted a penalty kick in overtime to give the Lady Toppers the edge they needed to upset Vanderbilt 3-2. Western Kentucky is off to their best start since the 2009 season with a 3-0-0 record. The Lady Toppers will put their win streak on the line when they host Tennessee Tech on Friday and travel to tangle with Louisville on Sunday. |
| Lieske Carleer – Junior – Defender – Arizona State – Carleer along with freshman netminder Birta Gudlaugs were part of a very solid ASU defense that shutout Mississippi State 1-0 in Starkville. Carleer also converted a header in the Sun Devils subsequent 5-1 win over UAB in Birmingham. Arizona State is 4-0-0. The Sun Devils now return to Tempe for the annual Sun Devil Classic in which they will host CSUN on Thursday and LSU on Sunday. |
| Caleigh Page – Senior – Defender – Rice – Page scored the game-winning goal out of a corner kick served in by junior midfielder Delaney Schultz in Rice’s 2-1 come from behind win over Houston Baptist. She also contributed an assist on Caleigh Boeckx’s goal in Rice’s 2-1 overtime win against Northwestern State. The Owls improve to 4-0-0 and will host Texas State on Thursday. |
| Sarah Peters – Senior – Goalkeeper – Kansas – Peters anchored a rock solid Jayhawk defense that shutout Saint Louis 2-0 and Iowa 1-0. She had four saves in the win over Saint Louis and five saves in the win over Iowa. She has posted three shutouts so far in the 2021 season and now holds the Kansas all-time shutout record with 28 career clean sheets to date. Kansas improves to 2-1-1. Peters and her Jayhawk teammates will seek to keep the momentum going when they face a very good Memphis team on the road on Thursday followed by a gave on Sunday with Arkansas State in Jonesboro. |
