College Soccer News – National Team of the Week – Week Ending November 5, 2017

Danny Muscovski – Senior – Forward – UNLV Muscovski powered the Rebel attack scoring twice in their 4-1 win over Grand Canyon  Timo Mehlich assisted on his first goal and Marquis Pitt provided the helper on the second. Muscovski has found the back of the net fourteen times so far for the Rebels who improve to 10-9-0 overall with a 7-3-0 mark in WAC play.  
Ben Wignall – Senior – Forward – Fairfield Wignall was a catalyst on the offensive side of the ball playing a key role in Fairfield's 3-0 win over Rider University. He netted the Stags second goal of the evening after receiving a cross from teammate Diallo Simon-Ponte. The victory secured the MAAC Regular-Season Title for Fairfield.   
Stuart Holthusen – Senior – Forward – Akron  Holthusen earns a repeat nod as a member of the CSN National Team of the Week as he and fellow senior Sam Gainford continue to power a high-octane Zip attack. Holthusen converted a penalty kick in Akron's 2-0 win over Marshall and scored twice in their 4-0 victory over NIU. Akron is 14-3-1 with a 4-1-0 record in MAC action. 
Arthur Bosua – Senior – Forward – Columbia Bosua contributed a helper on teammate Kynan Rocks goal in Columbia's 3-0 win over Sacred Heart. He also powered Columbia's attack with a sensational four goal effort in the Lion's 6-0 woodshedding of Harvard in an Ivy League contest. Columbia is now 10-2-3 overall with a 4-1-1 record when facing members of the Ancient Eight.   
Jon Bakero – Senior – Forward – Wake Forest  Bakero sent a header into the  back of the frame that was set up by a Brad Dunwell through ball and a cross from Brandon Servania  as Wake Forest topped Virginia Tech 3-0 in an ACC Tourney Quarterfinal contest. Bakero also netted the Demon Deacons third goal of the game with a double assist from Luis Argudo and Logan Gdula.  
Jannik Loebe – Senior – Forward – Fordham   Loebe came up big for the Rams when he drove the game-winning goal into the back of the frame after receiving a cross from Janos Loebe to give Fordham a 3-2 win over Dayton in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tourney. Loebe also contributed an assist in Fordham's 3-2 win over UMass in their final regular season contest. .  
Jakob Strandsater – Junior – Midfielder – Radford Strandsater netted Radford's first and third goals with Victor Valls providing the assist on both scores to help the Highlanders secure a 4-2 win over Liberty. The win gave Radford the number two seed in the upcoming Big South Tournament. The Highlanders are 10-4-3 overall with a 5-1-2 mark in conference play. 
Alex Underwood – Senior – Midfielder – Denver Underwood cleanly placed what proved to be the game-winning goal into the bottom left corner of the frame after receiving a pass from Ryan Barlow to give Denver the edge they needed to top Western Illinois 1-0. The Pioneers improve to 10-6-1 with a perfect 5-0-0 mark in Summit League play to secure their fifth consecutive regular season title.  
Alistair Johnston – Sophomore – Midfielder – St. John's  Johnson converted a header and scored out of a free kick to help lead the Red Storm to a 3-1 victory over Creighton in the Big East Tournament Quarterfinals. Harry Cooksley had a three assist evening in the win. St. John's also tied Providence 0-0 earlier in the week. The surging Red Storm are unbeaten in their past eight contests to improve to 9-6-3 overall.  
Nicolo D'Amato – Senior – Midfielder – CS Fullerton The Titan captain scored what proved to be the game-winner out of a free kick just outside the eighteen yard box and assisted on the goal scored by Samuel Goni to play a key role in CS Fullerton's 2-1 win over UC Riverside. The Titans  advance to the Big West Conference Tourament final and now stand at 10-7-3 overall. 
Mark Segbers – Senior – Midfielder – Wisconsin Segbers' goal in the eighty-seventh minute of play which was set up by a nice move and pass from teammate Chris Mueller gave the Badgers the edge they needed to top Maryland 2-1  in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tourney. Wisconsin improves to 9-4-4 and keeps their season alive.  
Rashid Tetteh – Junior – Defender – High Point Tetteh was part of another solid defensive effort on the part of the Panthers who topped Longwood 1-0 to record their fifth consecutive win and third shutout in a row to improve to 9-5-2 overall with a 7-1-0 record against Big South Conference competition.  
Jeff Caldwell – Senior – Goalkeeper – Virginia Caldwell was a force in goal for the Cavaliers with a four save evening and two stopped penalty kicks to play a key role in helping Virginia advance past Louisville 4-3 in a penalty kick shootout after the contest was scoreless at the end of regulation and overtime. The Cavaliers also topped Boston College 5-0 earlier in the week. Virginia advances to the Semifinals of the ACC Tourney where they will tangle with Notre Dame.
