Mark Segbers – Senior – Midfielder – Wisconsin | Segbers' goal in the eighty-seventh minute of play which was set up by a nice move and pass from teammate Chris Mueller gave the Badgers the edge they needed to top Maryland 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tourney. Wisconsin improves to 9-4-4 and keeps their season alive. | |
Rashid Tetteh – Junior – Defender – High Point | Tetteh was part of another solid defensive effort on the part of the Panthers who topped Longwood 1-0 to record their fifth consecutive win and third shutout in a row to improve to 9-5-2 overall with a 7-1-0 record against Big South Conference competition. | |
Jeff Caldwell – Senior – Goalkeeper – Virginia | Caldwell was a force in goal for the Cavaliers with a four save evening and two stopped penalty kicks to play a key role in helping Virginia advance past Louisville 4-3 in a penalty kick shootout after the contest was scoreless at the end of regulation and overtime. The Cavaliers also topped Boston College 5-0 earlier in the week. Virginia advances to the Semifinals of the ACC Tourney where they will tangle with Notre Dame. |
