Acuna is a difference maker for the Hokies. He converted a penalty kick after teamate Elias Tamburini was taken down in the box to help the Hokies defeat Davidson 2-1. Acuna also came up big for Virginia Tech when he scored twice to help power the Hokies past previously unbeaten Notre Dame 2-1 in an Atlantic Coast Conference contest. Virgina Tech goalkeeper Ben Lundgaard also had an impressive evening in the win over the Irish recording ten saves betweem the pipes. The victories give the Hokies momentum as they improve to 4-4-0 overall heading into a non-conference contest Tuesday against Longwood before traveling to face Boston College on Friday in ACC play. |
