Farina was a force on the offensive side of the ball for the Irish. He converted a picture perfect header off a double assist from teammates Felicien Dumas amd Tommy McCabe to net the insurance goal in Notre Dame's 2-0 win over San Diego in their season opener. He followed that up with a two goal performance to help the Irish top Cal Poly. Notre Dame secured the top finish in the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament for the eighth time. Farina was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the event. Notre Dame returns to the pitch on September 2 when they travel to Storrs to face Connecticut at Morrone Stadium. |
