College Soccer News National Player Of The Week – Kyle Culbertson – Ohio State – Week Ending November 8, 2015

Kyle Culbertson – Senior – Midfielder – Ohio State 

Culbertson and his Ohio State teammates had a very productive week of play. Culbertson who is from Columbus produced a pair of goals to play a key role in Ohio State's 3-1 win over Michigan to secure the Big Ten Regular Season Title for the Buckeyes before a crowd of 3,448 fans at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. He also scored the game-winning goal in overtime from twelve yards out after receiving a pass from Austin Bergstrom to give Ohio State the edge they needed to top a determined Penn State team 1-0 in a quarterfinal match in the Big Ten Tournament. Culbertson has scored a total of six goals so far this year and contributed five assists.

After beginning the year with a 1-4-0 record Ohio State turned things around and are now 12-5-2 overall with a 5-2-1 record in Big Ten regular season play. The Buckeyes advance to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament where they will host a Rutgers team on Friday that has won eight out of its last nine contests including a 2-0 win over Northwestern to punch their ticket into the semifinal round.
