College Soccer News National Player Of The Week – Ben Polk, Syracuse – Week Ending November 15, 2015

Ben Polk – Junior – Forward – Syracuse 

Polk and his Syracuse teammates had a great run to win the ACC Tournament Championship defeating N.C. State 2-0 at home then advancing past North Carolina in a penalty kick shootout after the score was tied 1-1, defeating Clemson 2-0 and Notre Dame 1-0 on the road.

This week Polk scored both goals for the Orange in their huge 2-0 win over Clemson with teammates Louis Cross and Noah Rynhart providing the assists. He also scored the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Notre Dame with an assist from Julian Buescher. For his efforts Polk was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player and teammates Julian Buescher, Miles Robinson and Hendrik Hilpert joined him on the All-Tournament Team.

Syracuse improves to 13-5-3 overall and has earned the ACC's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.  The Orange and the rest of the country will learn what lies in front of them on the road to the College Cup when the 2015 NCAA Tournament seeds and the brackets will be announced on Monday, November 16 at 1 p.m. on NCAA.com.
