|David Wrona – Sophomore – Forward – Wake Forest – Wrona scored twice to play a key role on the offensive side of the ball in Wake Forest’s 3-0 win over UAB on a rainy evening in Winston-Salem. The Demon Deacons improve to 3-0-0.
|Jack Lynn – Junior – Forward – Notre Dame – Lynn skillfully placed a shot into the bottom right corner of the net out of a corner kick served in by freshman Paddy Burns. Lynn’s goal and a solid Irish defense gave Notre Dame the edge they needed to top Syracuse 1-0. The Irish improve to 2-2-0.
|Bertin Jacquesson – Freshman – Forward – Pittsburgh – Jacquesson had a productive week of play contributing the golden goal and an assist in Pitts 3-2 win in overtime against Syracuse. He also had a three helper evening in PItts 4-2 win over Virginia Tech.
|Soren Jensen – Senior – Midfielder – Central Arkansas – Jensen contributed the assist on Rubyn Gill’s goal and drove a shot into the top of the net with Kasper Anderson and Pablo Azona providing helpers in Central Arkansas’ 4-1 Sun Belt Conference win over Georgia Southern.
|Veljko Petkovic – Sophomore – Midfielder – Pittsburgh – Petkovic has been a key ingredient in Pittsburgh’s high octane attack. He scored twice to in Pitts 3-2 win over Syracuse and contributed a goal from the top of the box and assisted on one of Valentin Noel’s two goals in the Panthers 4-2 win over Virginia Tech. Pitt is 3-0-0.
|Mark Salas – Senior – Defender – North Carolina – Salas was part of a solid and organized bend but don’t break Tar Heel defensive effort that was able to contain a very explosive Clemson attack. North Carolina secures a 1-0 win over the Tigers to improve to 2-0-0.
|Christian Kraus – Freshman – Defender – South Carolina – Kraus scored the lone goal of the evening in the 75th minute of play with a double assist from junior forward Andrew Halloran and freshman midfielder Spencer Mallion in South Carolina’s 1-0 on the road win over Mercer. The Gamecocks improve to 2-2-0.
|Lewis McGarvey – Freshman – Defender – Duke – McGarvey made a nice back post run to create the space he needed to send a header served in by Matthias Frick into the back of the frame in Duke’s 3-1-0 win over NC State. The Blue Devils improve to 2-2-0 and gain momentum.
|Mael Couteau – Freshman – Defender – Coastal Carolina – Couteau was responsible for the lone goal in Coastal Carolina’s season opening win over previously undefeated Georgia State. He was also part of a solid Chanticleer defense that held the Panthers to only one shot on goal. Coastal Carolina is 1-0-0.
|Fillipo Zattarin – Graduate Student – Defender – North Carolina – Zattarin came up big for the Tar Heels when he drove a header into the back of the net out of a set piece with one second remaining in regulation to give North Carolina the edge they needed to top Clemson 1-0.
|Coln Shutler – Graduate Student – Goalkeeper – Virginia – Shutler took care of business between the pipes for Virginia with an eight save night that included two stops in the final overtime period to help the Cavaliers gut out a 2-1 win over Louisville.
