Clemson MIdfiedler Megan Bornkamp – Women’s National Player Of The Week – Week Ending April 11, 2021

Megan Bornkamp – Freshman – Midfielder – Clemson

Clemson trailed South Carolina 1-0 at the end of the first half of play but the Tigers led on the offensive side of the ball by Bornkamp took control of the contest in the second half. Borknkamp did what the best finishers do when she decisively controlled and sent a rebound into the back of the frame. She also drove a header into the back of the net out of a corner kick served in by defender Renee Guion to give Clemson the edge they needed to secure a 2-1 win over in-state foe South Carolina out of the SEC.

Bornkamp who hails from Mooresville, North Carolina has a total of eight goals and one assist to date and is a key ingredient in a very potent multi-dimensional Tiger offense that includes forwards Caroline Conti (7g, 3a) and Maliah Morris (5g, 4a) among others and has produced a total of 31 goals.

Clemson has now won six-straight to stand at 12-4-0.
