Goldsmith had an impressive and productive weekend of play leading Butler to a 4-2 win Friday afternoon over UC Santa Barbara during which he assisted on teammate Mitch Ostrowski's goal and scored twice. Goldsmith's first goal of the contest was a header after receiving a pass from freshman midfielder Isaac Gailford. HIs second goal was a shot from fifteeen yards out with an assist from sophomore midfielder Jared Timmer. Goldsmith also scored twice to play a key role on the offensive side of the ball in Butler's 3-0 win over Oregon State on Sunday afternoon. Butler improves to 4-0-1 and will begin Big East Conference play when they travel to face Villanova on September 17. |
