15 College Facilities used for FIFA Club World Cup

The FIFA Club World Cup kicks off this weekend. The Club World Cup has a new competition format and will be hosted by the United States starting this weekend. Fifteen colleges are serving as host sites for clubs as training facilities while they compete.

Here are the 15 schools and the clubs they will be hosting:

Nova Southeastern University is hosting Al Ahly and Chelsea FC

Nova Southeastern University men’s team finished fourth in the Sunshine State Conference in 2024. The women’s team finished third. They are an NCAA Division II school and will host Al Ahly SC, who play Inter Miami on the opening night of the Club World Cup. They will also host Chelsea FC, who face LAFC on June 16.

Westmont College is hosting Botafogo

Westmont’s men’s team finished second in the PacWest Conference in 2024, and they went on to win the PacWest Championship. The women’s team finished fourth. They are an NCAA Division II school and will host Botafogo RJ, who play the Seattle Sounders on June 15.

Barry University is hosting CA Boca Juniors

Barry University’s men’s team finished seventh in the Sunshine State Conference in 2024. The women’s team finished eighth. They are also an NCAA Division II school that plays in the same conference as Nova Southeastern. Barry will host Boca Juniors, who face off against Benfica on June 16.

Loyola Marymount University is hosting CF Monterrey

LMU’s men’s team finished fifth in the West Coast Conference in 2024. The women’s team also finished fifth. They are hosting Monterrey, who face Inter Milan on June 17.

UNC Charlotte is hosting CF Pachuca

UNC Charlotte’s men’s team finished third in the American Athletic Conference in 2024 and won the Championship. The women’s team finished sixth. They are hosting Pachuca, who play Salzburg on June 18.

Stockton University is hosting CR Flamengo

Stockton’s men’s team finished in third in the New Jersey Athletic Conference in 2024. The women’s team finished in fourth. They are an NCAA Division III school and are hosting Flamengo, who play Espérance on June 16.

Oakland University is hosting Espérance de Tunisie

Oakland’s men’s team won the regular season in the Horizon League in 2024. The women’s team finished last. They are hosting Espérance, who are facing Flamengo on June 16.

UCLA is hosting Inter Milan

UCLA’s men’s team finished sixth in the Big Ten in 2024, and their women’s team finished second and went on to win the Big Ten Championship. They will host Inter Milan, who play Monterrey on June 17.

Rutgers University is hosting FC Porto

Rutgers’ men’s team finished ninth in the Big Ten in 2024, and their women’s team finished fifth. They will host Porto, who play Palmeiras on June 15.

The University of South Carolina is hosting Fluminense FC

South Carolina’s men’s team finished third in the Sun Belt in 2024. The women’s team finished fourth in the SEC. They will host Fluminense, who play Dortmund on June 17.

Mercer University is hosting LAFC

Mercer’s men’s team finished fifth in the Southern Conference in 2024. The women’s team finished third. Mercer will host LAFC, who play Chelsea FC on June 16.

Lynn University is hosting Manchester City

Lynn’s men’s team finished first in the Sunshine State Conference in 2024 and went on to win the conference tournament and national championship. The women’s team finished seventh. They will host Manchester City, who face Wydad Casablanca on June 18.

UC Irvine is hosting PSG

UC Irvine’s men’s team finished third in the Big West in 2024. The women’s team finished fourth. They will host PSG, who play Atletico Madrid on June 15.

UNC Greensboro is hosting Palmeiras

UNC Greensboro’s men’s team won the SoCon regular season. The women’s team finished seventh. They will host Palmeiras, who play Porto on June 15.

The University of Portland is hosting the Urawa Red Diamonds

Portland’s men’s team finished fourth in the West Coast Conference. The women’s team finished seventh. They host Urawa, who play River Plate on June 17.
