UCLA Midfielder Mia Fishel – College Soccer News Women’s National Player Of The Week – Week Ending September 19, 2021

Mia Fishel – Junior – Midfielder – UCLA

Fishel is a difference maker and playmaker for the Bruins. She combines with sophomore teammate forward Reilyn Turner to give UCLA a dynamic and dual threat duo on the offensive side of the ball that has been difficult for opponents to contain.

This week Fishel scored a total of four goals including the game-winning goals in UCLA’s 3-0 win over CSUN on Monday, their 2-0 win over San Diego on Thursday, and their 2-0 win over San Diego State on Sunday.

Fishel scored once in the contests with CUSN and San Diego State and netted both goals in the Bruins 2-0 victory over San Diego. She is a multi-dimensional goal scorer who has found the back of the net a total of seven times so far this year.

UCLA concludes non-conference play with a perfect 8-0-0 mark. The Bruins begin Pac-12 play when they host Oregon at Wallis Anenberg Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m.
