Trinity Byars – Freshman – Forward – Texas
Byars is among the reasons why the Longhorns are undefeated in their last thirteen games. Byars (12g, 10a) and freshman midfielder Lexi Missimo (9g, 13a) combine to give Texas an explosive duo on the offensive side of the ball that is difficult for opponents to contain.
This week Byars scored Texas’ first goal and Missimo the second in the Longhorns 2-0 win over Kansas. Byars followed that up with an impressive three goal and one assist evening to power Texas past Oklahoma 5-2 in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
Texas advances to face West Virginia on Thursday, November 4 in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament. The Longhorns are now 11-3-5 with a 6-0-3 mark in conference play.
