| MacKenzie Litzsinger – Redshirt Sophomore – Forward – SIUE – Litzsinger scored after receiving a pass from teammate Lily Schneiders in the Cougars season opening 3-2 win over Eastern Kentucky and scored twice in SIUE’s 3-2 win over Austin Peay. The Cougars will put their 2-0-0 record on the line when they travel to face Eastern Illinois on Tuesday. |
| Alhina Stahl – Junior – Forward – West Virginia – Stahl hit the ground running for the Mountaineers scoring twice in their spring season opening 3-1 win over Saint Joseph’s. West Virginia will host a very competitive Duke University team on March 27 at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morganton. |
| Mia Fishel – Sophomore – Forward – UCLA – Fishel scored and contributed the helper on teammate Sunshine Fontes’ second goal in UCLA’s 3-0 win over Oregon. She also converted a header out of a corner kick served in by teammate Marley Canales to help the Bruins top Oregon State 2-1 in a contest that required overtime to determine a winner. UCLA improves to 6-0-0 with a 3-0-0 mark in Pac-12 play. |
| Mikayla Colohan – Senior – Midfielder – BYU – Colohan scored twice to power a proficient BYU attack to a 3-0 win over Missouri. She also converted a penalty kick in BYU’s 3-1 win over LMU. The win over LMU was the 400th career win for BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood. The Cougars are 4-2-0 with a 2-0-0 mark in WCC play. |
| Megan Bornkamp – Freshman – Midfielder – Clemson – Bornkamp came up with the big goal Clemson needed to top Auburn 1-0 when she placed a shot into the lower corner of the goal in the 84th minute of play after receiving a pass from Hal Hershfelt. The goal was Bornkamp’s sixth of the season and third game-winner. The Tigers improve to 9-4-0. |
| Nicole Ray – Freshman – Midfielder – Utah Valley – Ray scored and contributed the assist on teammate Amber Tripp’s goal in Utah Valley’s 3-1 win over UTRGV at the GCU Stadium. She also alertly sent the rebound of teammate Sadie Brockbank’s shot into the back of the frame to give the Wolverine’s the edge they needed to defeat Grand Canyon 1-0 on the road. Utah Valley improves to 2-1-1 overall. |
| Frankie Tagliaferri – Senior – Midfielder – Penn State – Tagliaferri did what the best finishers do when she drove the rebound of her own blocked shot back into the net in Penn State’s 2-1 win over Indiana. She also scored with an assist from teammate Sam Coffey to help the Nittany Lions defeat Michigan State 3-1. Penn State is now 4-1-0. |
| Rachel Kutella – Freshman – Defender – Arkansas State – The Red Wolves’ centerback alertly controlled a rebound and sent it into the upper right corner of the goal to give Arkansas State the edge they needed to top Little Rock 1-0 in their spring season opener. Arkansas State now turns its attention to a contest on the road with Mississippi State on Saturday, March 13. |
| Kim Rodriguez – Senior – Defender – Oklahoma State – Rodriguez was a rock solid contributor on the defensive side of the ball helping the Cowgirls secure a hard fought 1-0 win over Saint Louis on the road. She also intercepted a pass and sent it forward as part of the sequence that resulted in an Oklahoma State game-winning penalty kick that junior midfielder Grace Yochum calmly converted. |
| AP Woodall – Sophomore – Goalkeeper – IUPUI – Woodall made the saves in goal that she needed to make to give IUPUI the opportunity they needed to secure a 1-0 upset win on the road over Milwaukee. Woodall anchors an IUPUI defense that has yet to yield a goal in three contests to date. The Jaguars are now 2-0-1 and will seek to build on the momentum of the win over Milwaukee when the host Wright State on Wednesday, March 10. |
