| Ada Clare Tempert – Sophomore – Forward – Loyola Maryland – Tempert missed the 2019 season due to injury but quickly made her presence known by scoring the game-winning goal with an assist from junior forward Sarah Bayer in the Greyhounds spring season opening 2-1 win over Colgate. She also added the game-winner with a double assist from Taylor DiMarco and Vanessa Alessi in Loyola Maryland’s 1-0 win over Bucknell. |
| Makenzie Rodrigues – Sophomore – Forward – Rider – Rodrigues drove a shot into the far upper 90 from the left corner of the 18-yard box and alertly sent a deflection just inside the lower left post to play a key role in Rider’s season opening 4-1 on road win over Fairfield. Freshmen Camryn Dees and Hailey Russel rounded out the scoring for the Broncs. |
| Kayla Fischer – Junior – Forward – Ohio State – Fischer was an impact player on the offensive side of the ball for the Buckeyes placing two headers into the back of the frame in Ohio State’s 2-2 tie with Pac-12 opponent Penn State. Marissa Birzon set up her first score. Brizon and Peyton McNamara where credited with a double assist on her second goal. Ohio State is now 2-1-2. |
| Lucy Porter – Senior – Midfielder – Hofstra – Porter was once more a force to contend with converting two headers including the game-winner in overtime to help power Hofstra past Boston College 2-1 in double overtime. It was Porter’s third multi-goal performance of the spring season. Hofstra improves to 4-0-0. |
| Naemi Hausen – Sophomore – Midfielder – Fairleigh Dickinson – Hausen opened the scoring for FDU in their 4-0 win over Wagner when she placed a shot into the the top right corner of the goal after receiving a cross from senior Viktorija Miseljic. Hausen also provided the helper on the goals scored by teammates Madelyn Robbins and Isabelle Udovc. Udoc also contributed a goal and two assists in the win. |
| Paula Leblic – Senior – Midfielder – South Florida – Leblic scored twice to play a key role on the offensive side of the ball in South Florida’s 3-0 win over AAC opponent Tulsa. Forwards Sydny Nasello and Serita Thurton earned the assist on Leblic’s first score. Midfielders Fanny Pelletier-Laroche and Sabrina Wagner contributed the helpers on her second score. South Florida records their fifth shutout in a row to improve to 4-0-1. |
| Grace Yochum – Junior – Midfielder – Oklahoma State – Yochum is a playmaker. She scored Oklahoma States first goal of the evening and converted a header out of a free kick served in by Olyvia Dowell in the 103rd minute of play to give the Cowgirls the edge they needed to top North Texas 4-3 in double overtime. It was a gutsy performance for an Oklahoma State team that played with ten for the majority of the match. Oklahoma State is now 9-2-1. |
| Ashley Postma – Senior – Defender – Oakland – Postma had a five assist evening to help Oakland roll past Robert Morris 5-0 in Horizon League play. Postma provided a helper on the goals scored by teammates Alex Sabbagh, Sami Lopez (2), Jackie Reilly, and Izzy Karkaba. The Golden Grizzlies improve to 3-2-1. |
| Zara Siassi – Freshman – Defender – North Florida – Siassi put in a full 90 minute shift anchoring a North Florida backline that held Florida Gulf Coast University to only five shots while securing a 1-0 shutout win. UNF improves to 6-0-0 with their second win over FGCU in a two week span. Prior to the spring season, UNF was 1-12-1 against FGCU. |
| Megan Rickert – Senior – Defender – Houston Baptist – Rickert’s first career goal at HBU was a big one. She drove a shot into the back of the net from outside the 18-yard box with only ten seconds remaining in regulation to knot the score at 1-1 and force overtime with Abilene Christian. Teammate senior Noor Abukishk contributed the game-winner for the Huskies in overtime. Rickert has been a solid contributor and starter on the defensive side of the ball for HBU since arriving on campus as a freshman. |
| Alex Deperno – Freshman – Defender – High Point – Deperno has been a key ingredient in a Panther defense that has allowed only one goal to date in six contests. This week she was again solid on the defensive side of the ball while also contributing the assist on teammate Sophia Muetterties game-winning header in the 104th minute of play in HPU’s 1-0 win over Charleston Southern. High Point is 6-0-0. |
| Sami Sample – Senior – Goalkeeper – Illinois – Sample had an eight save evening to anchor a rock solid Illinois defense that secured a 1-0 shutout win over Big Ten opponent Indiana 1-0 on the road. Sample and her Illinois teammates have only allowed a total of only three goals to date. Illinois is 3-2-1. |
