Mohamed Thiaw – Junior – Forward – Louisville |
Thiaw, who played two seasons at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College before transferring to Louisville this year, continues to make good things happen for the Cardinals. He alertly sent the rebound of his own shot into the back of the frame to net Louisville's first goal in their 3-1 win over Notre Dame and contributed a helper on freshman midfielder Cherif Dieye's goal in the final minute of the contest. Number four seed Louisville improves to 14-5-2 overall and continues along the road to the College Cup while Notre Dame concludes their season with a 12-7-2 overall record. |

Jon Bakero – Junior – Forward – Wake Forest |
Bakero got things off on the right foot for Wake Forest when he drove a shot into the back of the net in just the third minute of play after receiving a pass from midfielder Jacori Hayes to give the Deacons a 1-0 advantage and the ability to set the pace of the contest. He then netted the game-winning goal in the seventy-second minute of play when he redirected the shot of teammate Ema Twumasi into the right side of the goal from the top of the box to give Wake Forest the edge they needed to top a game SIUE team 2-1 and earn the right to advance to the Elite Eight for the second consecutive season. SIUE concludes a very successful season with a 10-5-7 overall record. |

Austen Burnikel – Senior – Forward – Clemson |
Burnikel played a key role on the offensive side of the ball in Clemson's 3-1 Sweet Sixteen win over a very good University of Albany team. Burnikel scored from six yards out after receiving a pass from Oliver Shannon in the forty-fifth minute of play to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage over the Great Danes. He also converted a header in the eighty-first minute of the match with an assist from Diego Campos to net what proved to be the game-winning goal. In addition he assisted on midfielder Alex Happi's insurance goal in the eighty-fourth minute of play. Clemson improves to 14-3-5 overall and advances to the Elite Eight where they will tangle with Denver. Albany concludes a very successful season with a 13-6-2 overall record. |

Foster Langsdorf – Junior – Forward – Stanford |
Langsdorf has come up big all year for the Cardinal. This week he headed in the game-winning goal in overtime (his seventh game-winner to date) to give the number five seed Stanford the edge they advantage they needed to top talented number twelve seed Virgina 1-0. The Cardinal out of the Pac-12 improves to 13-3-4 and advances to the Elite Eight where they will travel to face number four seed Louisville in "a something has to give type" contest between two very successful teams. Virginia concludes the 2016 season with a 11-4-5 overall record. |

Jeremy Kelly – Freshman – Midfielder – North Carolina |
North Carolina entered the season with the number one ranked recruiting class in the country. Freshmen Jeremy Kelly and Cam Lindley reinforced why the Tar Heel class was so highly regarded when they combined to give UNC the edge they needed on the offensive side of the ball to top a very good Syracuse team 1-0. After receiving a pass from Lindley, Kelly used his touch on the ball and quickness to create the angle that he needed to send a shot into the left corner of the goal from the top of the box. UNC improves to 13-3-3 overall and advances to face Providence while Syracuse closes out a very successful season with a 12-4-4 overall record. |

Chandler Crosswait – RS Senior – Midfielder – Denver |
Crosswait's first goal of the 2016 season came at an opportune time. He alertly drove the rebound of teammate Kortne Ford's header back into the frame to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead over Washington. Sophomore forward Andre Shinyashiki scored the second goal of the evening for Denver to give the Pioneers a 2-1 win over Washington and propel Denver into the Elite Eight. The Pioneers improve to 19-0-3 while Washington out of the Pac-12 concludes their season with a 14-7-0 overall record. |

Danny Green – Freshman – Midfielder – Providence |
Providence came from behind to top Creighton in Omaha 2-1 to earn the right to advance to the Elite Eight. Griffin came up big for the Friars who made a nice move off the dribble to create the space and angle he needed to slot a shot into the back of the goal that gave Providence the edge they needed to secure a huge win. The Friars continue to take care of business improving to 15-6-0 while Creighton ends the 2016 season with a 13-7-3 overall record. |

Forrest White – Junior – Midfielder – Virginia Tech |
White came through in the clutch for the Hokies when he came off the pine to drive a bending ball into the back of the net from eighteen yards out in the ninety-seventh minute of play to net the game-winner in Virginia Tech's 2-1 win over number seven seed Indiana in Bloomington. The Hokeis keep what has been a magical season alive and earn the right to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. |

Colton Storm – Senior – Defender – North Carolina |
The Tar Heel captain was a key element in a rock solid North Carolina defensive effort that shutout Syracuse 1-0 on the road to advance to secure a spot in the Elite Eight. UNC will now host an unseeded Providence team that has advanced past Delaware, number one seed Maryland on the road, and highly regarded Creighton on the road to earn a trip to Chapel Hill to sqaure off with Storm and his Tar Heel teammates on Friday night at Fetzer Field. |

Ben Lundgaard – Junior – Goalkeeper – Virginia Tech |
Lundgaard, who is a team captain and leader, had nine saves in goal to play a key role on the defensive side of the ball for Virginia Tech in their 2-1 upset win over number seven seed Indiana on the road. The Hokies advance to the Elite Eight where they will face fellow ACC member Wake Forest on Saturday in Winston-Salem. |

Colin Miller – RS Sophomore – Goalkeeper – Providence |
Miller, the 2016 Big East Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, did the things he needed to do to place Providence in position to secure a 2-1 win over Creighton. He had an impressive career-high nine save evening to help the Friars earn the right to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament for the second time (the first time was in 2014) in the history of the program. |
