Thompson contributed a hat trick scoring three goals in the first stanza of play to lead Indiana to a convincining 5-0 win over Saint Louis. He also came up big when he scored the game-winning goal with just under five minutes remaining in regulation to give the Hoosiers the edge they needed to top a very game Michigan State team 2-1 in a key Big Ten contest. Thompson is a playmaker who has scored a total of eight goals so far this year and contributed two assists. Indiana improves to 10-1-6 overall with a 3-0-5 mark in the Big Ten Conference. The Hoosiers have secured the number two seed in the upcoming Big Ten Conference Tournament and will host number seven seeded Northwestern on Sunday, November 6. |
