Garrett McLaughlin Sophomore Forward SMU

McLaughlin had a very productive four goal week for the Mustangs. He scored twice in SMU's 2-0 win over Oral Roberts and netted both of SMU's goals in their 2-0 on the road win over Cincinnati.

McLaughlin has recorded multiple goals in three of the Ponies last four matches and has found the back of the net a total of twelve times so far this year.

SMU is now 12-2-0 overall with a 4-1-0 mark in American Athletic Conference play.

McLaughlin (12g, 2a) and teammate Mauro Cichero (9g, 7a) have powered an SMU offense that has netted a total of thirty goals to date while the SMU defense led by backs Jordan Cano, Talen Maples, Eddie Munjoma, Philip Ponder, Jared Rice and goalkeeper Michael Nelson have limited opponents to a total of nine goals to date.

SMU will travel to face USF in Tampa on Sunday, October 29 in what shapes up to be a crucial AAC contest.
