BYU Forward Bella Folino – College Soccer News Women’s National Player Of The Week – Week Ending November 26, 2023

Bella Folino – Senior – Forward – BYU

Never say never. Folino played a key role in what has to be one of the most amazing comebacks in NCAA Tournament history. She scored twice in the second half of play contributing the all important first goal at close range that got the Cougars on the board. Brecken Mozingo scored BYU’s second goal and Folino then converted the equalizer off a rebound with nine minutes remaining in regulation. Olivia Wade-Katoa scored the go-ahead go for BYU with less than two minutes remaining. The Cougars place four in the back of the net in the second half after trailing by three goals at halftime to top North Carolina 4-3.

Folino is a stalwart for BYU who has played in 125 games for the Cougars. She has nine goals and two assists on the season and 43 career goals and 12 career assists.

BYU improves 20-2-3 and advances to the College Cup where they will face Stanford on Friday.
