Jordan Morris – Junior – Forward – Stanford
Morris played a key role in Stanford's 3-1 win over a very tenacious and talented Ohio State Buckeye team to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. Morris scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season in the contest. Morris netted the first goal for the Cardinal after a nice combination of passes with teammate Eric Verso chipping the ball forward to Morris who then dispatched it into the back of the net. Morris' second goal which proved to be the game-winner resulted when teammate freshman Amir Bashti made a nice move in tight space to create the angle he needed to send a back heeled pass to Morris which Morris then bent into the back of the goal.
Next up for Stanford is a cross country trip and a date with number one seeded Wake Forest in the Elite Eight on Saturday with a trip to the College Cup on the line.
