Holthusen scored twice including the game-winning goal in overtime to lead Akron past Grand Canyou 3-2. He also scored twice to power Akron past Western Michigan 3-0. The Zips improve to 9-5-4 overall with a 1-1-3 record in the Mid-American Conference and secure their 12th straight MAC regular season championship. Holthusen has recorded five career multi-goal games for Akron. The Zips will return to the pitch on Friday, November 11 when they again host Western Michigan in the MAC Tournament.
