Gerit Wintermeyer | Junior | Forward | Bradley |
Wintermeyer came up big for the Braves in two contests last week. He skillfully threaded a shot into the back of the net under pressure in the final minute of regularion after receiving a pass from teammate Rasmus Smidtslund to give Bradley a 2-1 win over Western Ilinois. He also converted a penalty kick and made the run he needed to make to be in position to net the game-winning goal after receiving a pass from Jack Lang in Bradley's 2-1 win over Evansville in a Missouri Valley Conference contest. Wintermeyer has seven goals so far this year and has become the ninth Bradley player in program history to total twenty career goals. The number three seed Braves will face number six seed Evansville in the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament on Wednesday in Chicago.
