 | Marco Afonso – Senior – Forward – Grand Canyon – Afonso created the space and the angle he needed to slot a left-footed shot into the net after receiving a well played and timed through ball from defender Alejandro Fernandez Alcaide. He also sent a bending ball into the net out of a free kick from the top of the penalty box in overtime to give the Lopes a hard fought 3-2 win over a very competitive Cal Poly team. Grand Canyon concludes non-conference play with a solid 5-1-0 record. The Lopes begin WAC play on Saturday when they face Seattle at GCU Stadium in Phoenix. |
 | Jacob Labovitz – Senior – Forward – Virginia Tech – Labovitz came through in the clutch as he has in the past for the Hokies placing a header into the back of the net out of a free kick put in play by Kyle McDowell during regulation and sending a header set up by a pass from by Pol Monells into the net in the second overtime period to power Virginia Tech past rival Virginia 2-1 in an ACC matchup. The Hokies rebound from a 1-0 loss to Duke to improve to 3-1-2 with a 1-1-0 mark in conference play. Virginia Tech travels to Williamsburg on Tuesday to tangle with another in-state rival William and Mary. |
 | Patrick Agyemang – Redshirt Junior – Forward – Rhode Island – Agyemang scored after receiving a cross from midfielder Edvin Akselsen, utilized his touch on the ball to create the separation he needed to place a left footed shot into the net, and sent a chip shot into the back of the frame to net a hat trick and provide the offensive punch that enabled the Rams to top rival Brown 3-1. He also contributed an assist along with Cian Purcell on teammate Rafa Villanueva’s goal in Rhode Island’s subsequent 2-1 win over a very good VCU team. Rhode Island improves to 5-1-1 with a 1-0-0 mark in A-10 play. |
 | Nick Markanich – Senior – Forward – NIU – Markanich continues to find the back of the net on a consistent basis for the Huskies. He slotted a shot into the net after receiving a pass from junior defender Adrian Lara in NIU’s 4-0 win over Milwaukee and scored three times in the first half of play in NIU’s 6-0 goal fest against Western Illinois. Markanich has a total of nine goals to date. NIU improves to 6-1-0 and will seek to keep their momentum going when they travel to face Chicago State on Tuesday. |
 | Kameron Lacey – Junior – Midfielder – Charlotte – Lacey was a catalyst on the offensive side of the ball for the 49ers netting their opening goal in a 3-1 win over UNCW and scoring what proved to be the game-winner in Charlottes 2-1 win over Niagara. The 49ers improve to 4-2-0 and will host South Carolina on Saturday at 7 p.m. |
 | Rory O’Driscoll – Junior – Midfielder – New Hampshire – O’Driscoll took care of business for the Wildcats contributing what proved to be the game-winning goal via a penalty kick in their 2-1 win on the road at Marist. He followed that with a two-goal evening in which he sent a floater into the side of the frame from ten yards out after receiving a pass from senior forward Tola Showunmi and converted a penalty kick to propel New Hampshire past Albany 2-0 in an America East matchup. The Wildcats remain unbeaten with a perfect 7-0-0 record. New Hampshire hosts Quinnipiac on Tuesday followed by a return to American East competition at Hartford on Saturday. |
 | Sergi Martinez – Senior – Midfielder – Bowling Green – Martinez played a key role in two BGSU wins. He scored with an assist from Zach Buescher and Kyle Cusimano in the Falcons 3-0 win over Wright State. He followed that up with what proved to be the game-winning goal in BGSU’s 2-0 win over FIU. Bowling Green picks up two solid wins to improve to 5-1-1. The Falcons will seek to keep the momentum and the wins coming when they host Detroit Mercy on Tuesday. |
 | Davis Smith – Graduate Student – Midfielder – Providence – Smith played a key role in Providence’s 3-2 win over Seton Hall in their Big East season opener. He scored the Friars first goal and contributed an assist on the goals scored by teammates Brendan McSorley and Paulo Lima. Providence improves to 4-1-1 with a 1-0-0 mark in Big East play. The Friars who vaulted upward to the number 16 spot in the College Soccer News National Poll will face Brown out of the Ivy League on Wednesday and return to Big East play when they tangle with Xavier on Saturday. |
 | Soren Ilsoe – Sophomore – Midfielder – Northeastern – Soren provided the firepower the Huskies needed with a two goal evening that gave Northeastern the edge they needed to leave Williamsburg with a 2-1 CAA win over William and Mary. The Huskies secure they second win in a row and their fifth in their last six matches to improve to 5-1-1 with a 2-0-0 mark in CAA play. |
 | Tommy Visser – Redshirt Sophomore – Defender – Butler – Visser made his presence known on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs. He contributed the assist on the game-winning goal scored by teammate Wilmer Cabrera, Jr. and was a vital part of a Butler defense that shutout Connecticut 1-0. Butler is 2-3-1 and will seek to enhance their record when they host Lipscomb on Tuesday and travel to face Big East opponent Villanova on Saturday. |
 | Ryan Sailor – Redshirt Senior – Defender – Washington – Sailor skillfully flicked a header into the back of the frame out of a corner kick in overtime with a double assist from Dylan Teves and Kendall Burks to give the Huskies the edge they needed to slip past a determined Utah Valley team 2-1 on the road. Washington is now 5-0-0 with a rivalry match coming up on Monday with Seattle followed by a game on the road with Portland on Friday. |
 | Jacob Castro – Sophomore – Goalkeeper – San Diego State – Castro had another impressive week between the pipes anchoring an Aztec defense that shutout California 2-0 and Stanford 1-0 to improve to 5-0-2 with a 2-0-0 mark in Pac-12 play. Castro had two saves in goal against California and a seven save evening in the contest with Stanford. Castro has a 0.13 goals against average for a San Diego State defense that has only allowed one goal in seven games to date. The Aztecs return to the pitch on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host Gonzaga at the SDSU Sports Deck. |
 | Eliot Hamill – Senior – Goalkeeper – Duke – Hamill took care of business in goal for the Blue Devils anchoring a rock solid defense with a six save evening including several clutch stops to shutout North Carolina 3-0 in Chapel Hill. Hamill and the Blue Devil backline that includes Lewis McGarvey, Antino Lopez, Ian Murphy and Amir Daley have only allowed one goal so far this year. Duke improves to 5-1-0 with an impressive 2-0-0 mark in ACC play. Duke travels to face ACC foe Syracuse on Saturday. |
