Jacob Montes – Senior – Midfielder – Georgetown
Montes, the 2019 Big East Midfielder of the Year from Lake Worth, Florida, completed his final home game at Shaw Field for Georgetown in style with a two goal and two assist evening to help propel the Hoyas past Big East foe Connecticut 5-1.
Montes was a force on the offensive side of the ball finding the back of the net out of a free kick from just outside the box and scoring from twenty-five yards out. He also contributed the helpers on sophomore midfielder Dante Polvara’s two goals.
Georgetown, currently ranked as the number two team in the nation by College Soccer News, improves to 6-0-2.
The Hoyas have a test coming up on Saturday, April 10 when they close out regular season spring play with a contest on the road against Big East opponent St. John’s without the services of Montes who will be departing for a tryout in Europe.
