The College Soccer News National Team of the Week seeks to recognize individual performers on both sides of the ball who played a key role in the success that their teams enjoyed during the week.

Harris made a nice move off the dribble to secure the angle he needed to thread a shot inside the far post and decisively drove a one-timer into the near post after receiving a cross from teammate Machop Chol to play a key role in Wake Forest's 3-1 win on the road over Louisville. The Demon Deacons are 13-3-1 with a 6-2-0 mark in ACC play. |
Matthew Vowinkel Junior Forward Hofstra |
Vowinkel scored twice enabling Hofstra to come from behind to tie Binghamton 2-2. He followed that up with a three goal evening to propel the Pride to a 3-0 victory over Northeastern in a Colonial Athletic Association contest. Hofstra improves to 8-6-2 overall with a 5-2-1 mark in conference action. |
Phillip Goodrum Senior Forward UNCW |
Goodrum scored twice and contributed the assist on Wilhelm Nilsson's goal to lead a surging UNCW team to a 3-0 win over VCU on the road. He also converted a penalty kick in overtime to give the Seahawks the edge they needed to top Elon in a CAA contest. Goodrum has scored ten goals so far this year. |
Christian Sload Senior Forward Penn State |
Sload came through in the clutch twice for Penn State. He decisively drove a shot into the right side of the frame in overtime to enable Penn State to come from two goals down to top Maryland 3-2. Sload also converted a header out of a corner kick in overtime in Penn State's 2-1 win over Rutgers. |
Connor Hubbard RS Senior Forward Furman |
Hubbard helped the Paladins pick up a 4-1 win over Wofford and a 2-1 win over Belmont to secure the program's twentieth regular season title. He scored twice in the win over Wofford and contributed the game-winner in the win over Belmont. Furman improves to 11-6-1 with a 5-1-0 mark in conference play. |
Tristan Trager Sophomore Midfielder Air Force |
Trager was a force on the offensive side of the ball with back-to-back hat tricks to power Air Force to a 4-3 win in overtime against Grand Canyon and a 3-2 win over UNLV in Western Athletic Conference play. The Falcons improve to 7-9-0 overall with a 6-4-0 mark in conference play. |
Jonas Westmeyer Senior Midfielder Marshall |
Westmeyer provided the game-winning goal by skillfully sending a shot into the upper left corner of the net out of a free kick in Marshall's 2-1 win on the road over Oakland. He also scored the lone goal of the match from inside the six yard box after receiving a cross from Milo Yosef in Marshall's 1-0 win over Kentucky in a key CUSA match. |

Clarke played a key role in Colgate's come from behind 2-1 win over Navy in Patriot League play. Clark was solid on the defensive side of the ball and converted a header in the closing minutes of regulation to send the contest into overtime where Drew Fischer netted the game-winner for the Raiders. . |

Haupt alertly scored the game-winning goal out of a throw-in and was part of a very solid UC Davis defense anchored in goal by Wallis Lapsley that shutout Sacramento State 1-0. The Aggies improve to 11-4-2 with a 5-1-1 mark in Big West play. |

Suarez is a difference maker. He was dominant in the air and also added an additional element to the Central Arkansas attack from his center back position in the Bears 2-0 win in Atlanta over Georgia State in Sun Belt Conference play. Central Arkansas improves to 9-6-1 with a 3-1-0 mark in conference play. |

Roach was rock solid in goal recording a career-high ten saves to anchor a Gaucho defense that shutout Big West Conference opponent Cal Poly 2-0. UCSB improves to 11-3-4 overall with a 4-1-2 mark in conference play. |
Nick Brady Junior Goalkeeper South Carolina |
Brady had nine saves between the pipes to lead an impressive South Carolina defense that shutout a very good FIU team 1-0 in Conference USA play. The Gamecocks improve to 7-8-2 overall and stay in the hunt for a berth in the upcoming CUSA Tournament. |
