TST is set to begin its fourth annual 7v7 soccer tournament in Cary, NC. The tournament features players and teams from all over the world, with some of the best college players in the country appearing on teams as they all compete for a $1 million grand prize.
Here are some of the notable college players and teams appearing in the tournament:
Women’s Tournament
Summer Denigan – North Carolina – US Women
Denigan played four years at Georgia, transferring to UNC for the 2026 season. Her senior season at UGA was her most successful, leading the Bulldogs in goals, assists, shots, and shots on target on her way to being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American First Team and a MAC Hermann Award finalist.
Paige Kalal – Minnesota – Sportive FC
Kalal was named a member of the 2024 All-Big Ten Second Team, recording 10 assists in her sophomore season, and went into the 2025 season ranked at no. 74 on Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Top 100 List.
Bella Gaetino – North Carolina – Sportive FC
A member of the 2024 National Champion Tarheels, Gaetino was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team in 2024 and was ranked at no. 81 in Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100 list in 2025 and started all 21 games for the Tar Heels.
Kai Tsakiris – Florida – Bumpy Pitch FC
As a freshman for the Gators in 2025, Tsakiris was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team and the All-SEC Third Team, scoring four goals and assisting another five.
Bella Najera – Michigan State – Bumpy Pitch FC
The rising senior, Najera, was the 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and has been named Third Team All-Big Ten (2023, 2024) and Second Team All-Big Ten (2025) in her collegiate career.
Sam Courtwright – Duke – Simply Futbol FC
The incoming Duke transfer spent three years at Texas Tech, missing one season with an injury. She was named to the Big 12 All-First Team in the 2025 season. 71 in Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100.
Kayla Briggs – Michigan State – Rated Sports FC
After spending two years at Providence, Briggs transferred to Michigan State for her junior season, where she scored eight goals and assisted another seven on her way to being named First Team All-Big Ten and Second Team United Soccer Coaches All-America.
Samantha Erbach – Florida State – Austin Rise FC
Before transferring to Florida State for the upcoming season, Erbach played two seasons at Xavier, becoming one of the most prolific players in the country, scoring 29 goals and assisting another 21.
Men’s Tournament
Cardinal Legacy
Cardinal Legacy is made up of Stanford alumni and features active Stanford players like Jack Pymm, Josh Partal, and Dylan Groeneveld.
Hoosier Army
As the name suggests, the Hoosier Army is the team for Indiana alumni. Current IU players Collins Oduro and Easton Bogard are on the team’s roster.
Isaac Emojong – Portland – Drip FC
Emojong played two seasons at Utah Valley, scoring 10 goals and assisting another three before being drafted with the first pick of the Second Round in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft by DC United. He ultimately decided to return to college and transfer to Portland.
Tate Lorentz – Wake Forest – Drip FC
Lorentz transferred to Wake Forest after two seasons at UNC. In his only year at Wake so far, he recorded five goals and five assists and was selected 63rd overall by CF Montreal, but is returning for his senior season of college ball.
Harrison Bertos – Washington – Drip FC
Bertos was selected 31st overall by San Diego FC in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, but returned to college at Washington. In his most recent season with the Huskies, he was named All-Big Ten First Team and won the National Championship.
David Ajagbe – Portland – Drip FC
Ajagbe played his freshman season at Ohio State, being named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team with seven goals and two assists before transferring to Portland. At Portland, he scored 10 goals and assisted four in his sophomore campaign in 2025.
Tate Lampman – Georgetown – Drip FC
The Georgetown defender was named 2024 Big East Freshman of the Year and has started all 33 games he has appeared in over his two seasons with the Hoyas.
Mixed Tournament
Joschi Schelb – North Carolina – Drunken Monkeys
The incoming transfer from Rutgers, Schelb, was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team in 2025 with seven goals and four assists. Schelb scored two goals for the Tar Heels in their spring season Carolina Cup final win over Virginia Tech.
