Marcus Caldeira – Sophomore – Forward – West Virginia
Caldeira is a difference maker with big play ability. This week he scored the Mountaineers first goal in their 2-1 win over American. He also was a the right place at the right time to score with a double assist from Max Trethewey and Luke McCormick in the last minute of regulation to enable West Virginia to top nationally ranked Portland 1-0.
Caldeira is the current NCAA leader with six goals on the season and is among the reasons why the Mountaineers are 5-0-0 for the first time since 1975.
Things don’t get any easier for West Virginia with a Sun Belt Conference contest coming up on Friday against UCF in Orlando.
