The Tunnel Narrows: Latest Updates And Who Has Already Advanced To The NCAA Women’s Soccer Division I Quarterfinals

The top eight teams of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament are knocking on the door. Over the past two weekends, 64 teams battled for their lives, and now the tunnel has narrowed as the remaining few fight to secure a place among the nation’s top contenders.

It was an effervescent Sunday, the 23rd, with 10 teams stepping onto the pitch to determine who would advance to the quarterfinals. And this Monday, the 24th, will complete the big picture.

After an intense game, No. 3 Florida State beat Georgetown 3-1 and sent the No. 2 seed home. Michigan State won 2-1 against Colorado, as did Ohio State against Baylor. Duke showed no mercy to Kansas and advanced with a 2-0 win, while No. 4 Washington upset Virginia in a tough match that ended in a 5-4 PK victory.

The winners are now set for the quarterfinals, awaiting the remaining three matches scheduled for Monday, the 24th.
