Yesterday, the men’s soccer MAC Hermann Trophy Finalists were announced, and the finalists for both men’s and women’s soccer are now set. The winners will be revealed at the annual banquet on January 9. Here is the list of men’s and women’s finalists, as well as a quick rundown of their college careers:
Women’s Finalists
Jasmine Aikey – Senior – Midfielder – Stanford
Aikey had a massive senior year, setting career highs with 21 goals and 32 goal contributions during the campaign. She has 72 career goal contributions (43 goals/29 assists), and showed her flexibility by playing as a central defender for most of her junior year. Aikey and Stanford came just short of a national title, losing to Florida State in the final.
Jordynn Dudley – Junior – Forward – Florida State
Dudley had career highs in goals (11) and assists (14) this season and helped lead the Seminoles to their second national championship in the past three seasons. The junior has 59 goal contributions (30g/29a) and is averaging nearly double-digit goals (10) and assists (9.67) per season over the course of her career.
Izzy Engle – Sophomore – Midfielder/Forward – Notre Dame
Engle matched her impressive freshman campaign with another 19 goals this past year and added six assists. While Engle and the Fighting Irish fell short of reaching the College Cup in Kansas City, they still had an impressive campaign as a program, finishing second in the ACC standings and claiming a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Men’s Finalists
Richie Aman – Senior – Midfielder – Washington
Aman (pictured above) had a breakout senior season, tallying career bests in goals (4) and assists (14), and highlighted his chance-creating ability in the College Cup as the Huskies went on to win the national title. Aman is also a pre-signed senior heading into the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
Donavan Phillip – Junior – Forward – NC State
Phillip had a massive junior campaign leading Division I men’s soccer with 19 goals. He now has 30 career goals through three college seasons to go with 13 career assists. He had one of the Wolfpack’s two goals, sparking their comeback in the College Cup final versus Washington before falling in overtime. Phillip was drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.
Junior Diouf – Freshman – Forward – Grand Canyon
Diouf had a remarkable freshman campaign as he finished the year with 24 goal contributions (18g/6a), including seven game-winning goals. The young forward helped Grand Canyon win the WAC Tournament and go on a run to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
