Thiaw is a difference maker who continues to come up with big plays for the Cardinals. This week he scored the lone goal with an assist from defender Tim Kubel to give Louisville they needed to defeat Saint Louis 1-0 Tuesday night at Herman Stadium. Thiaw also scored twice to power Louisville to a 6-1 win over Atlantic Coast Conference foe Virginia on Saturday night in the friendly confines of Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. The junior college All-American who transferred to Louisville this year has scored seven times so far this season including four game-winning goals. Louisville has won five straight contests to improve to 7-1-1 with a 3-0-0 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play. The Cardinals will travel to Boston to face Boston College on Friday at 7p.m. |
