| Duncan McGuire – Junior – Forward – Creighton – Duncan was a force on the offensive side of the ball contributing six goals in Creighton’s run to the Big East Championship. Duncan contributed the game-winner in Creighton’s 2-1 win over Xavier in the first round, scored the Bluejay’s first four goals in their 6-0 semifinal win over number two seeded Seton Hall, and contributed a goal in their 3-0 win over Georgetown in the championship contest. McGuire has 19 goals and 2 assists on the season. The Bluejays improve to 9-4-6 and secure the Big East’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. |
| MD Myers – Senior – Forward – Rutgers – The senior transfer from High Point has consistently been a driving force in Rutgers’ offense. He provided the assist on Chris Tiao’s game-winner in the Scarlet Knights’ 2-1 win over Ohio State in the Big Ten tournament semifinal and contributed a helper on the goals scored by Matthew Acosta and Ian Abbey in the championship 3-1 win over Indiana. Rutgers is 10-4-6 and secures the program’s first ever Big Ten Championship and the automatic berth that accompanies it. |
| Noah Holmes – Graduate Student – Forward – High Point University – Holmes was a difference maker for HPU in the Big South Tournament. He scored their first goal in a 3-1 win over USC Upstate in the semifinals and converted a header and placed a shot into the bottom left corner of the goal with an assist from Larson Rula to pace HPU to a 2-0 win over Campbell in the championship match. Holmes has a team leading ten goals on the season. High Point improves to 10-4-5 and punches their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. |
| Lorenzo Boselli – Junior – Midfielder – Syracuse – Boselli converted the equalizer with an assist from Nathan Opoku to knot the score at 2-2 and send Syracuse’s semifinal match in the ACC Tournament with Virginia into overtime. The Orange prevailed in a penalty kick shootout after the contest was still tied after two overtime periods. Boselli also made the run he needed to make to be in position to decisively drive a shot into the back of the frame in Syracuse’s subsequent 2-0 win over Clemson in the championship match. Syracuse improves to 14-2-4 and earns the ACC’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. |
| Eli Goldman – Junior – Forward – New Hampshire – Goldman had a productive week of play scoring the Wildcats first goal in a 3-0 win over Binghamton in the semifinals of the America East Conference Tournament and their first goal in a subsequent 2-0 win over Albany in the tournament title match. Goldman has eight goals and one assist on the season. New Hampshire is 14-4-0. The Wildcats secure their fourth America East Championship and sixth consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament. |
| Jannis Schmidt – Senior – Midfielder – Cleveland State – Schmidt is a playmaker. He contributed an assist in Cleveland States 4-2 win over Oakland in the Horizon League semifinals and lofted a shot into the back of the frame from the top of the box in the Vikings subsequent 3-0 win over IUPUI in the championship game. Schmidt was named the MVP of the Horizon League Tournament. The Vikings, who also won the Horizon League Regular Season title, improve to 11-3-5 and secure the Horizon League’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. |
| Joran Gerbet – Sophomore – Midfielder – Oregon State – Gerbet was a stabilizing force on both sides of the ball in the center of the park for Oregon State. He put in a full 90 minutes of play adding to the attack while helping the Beavers hold Pac-12 foe Washington to only six shots on goal while shutting out the Huskies 1-0. Oregon State secures a signature win over the Huskies and improves to 7-3-6 overall. |
| Jordan Alonge – Senior – Midfielder – FDU – Alonge was a dynamo on the offensive side of the ball scoring three times to power FDU past Sacred Hart 3-0 in the semifinals of the Northeast Conference Tournament. He also put in a full 90 minute shift in the Knights 2-1 win over St. Francis Brooklyn in the championship match during which forward Jamie Barbero scored twice. FDU ups their record to 10-5-3 and punches their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 19th time. |
| David Garcia – Senior – Defender – FIU – Garcia put in two full 90 minutes shifts on the defensive side of the ball for an FIU team that shutout Memphis 1-0 and South Florida 2-0 to win the American Athletic Conference Tournament. Garcia also drove a header into the back of the net out of a corner kick with an assist from defender Carlos Scheckermann in the win over South Florida. FIU has now won six in a row to improve to 14-4-1. |
| Carlos Tofern – Senior – Goalkeeper – Saint Louis – Tofern came up big in goal for the Billikens in the clutch with six saves out of eight chances in two PK shootouts. Saint Louis advanced past Dayton in a penalty kick shootout after the match was tied 1-1 at the end of 110 minutes with Tofern making three stops in the shootout. The Billikens then advanced past Loyola Chicago in a match that was decided by a penalty kick shootout after it was scoreless at the end of regulation and overtime with Tofern making three stops during the shootout. Saint Louis wins the A-10 Conference Tournament for the second year in a row. |
