Jordan Brewster – Fifth Year Senior – Defender – West Virginia
Brewster contributed two game-winning goals during the Big 12 Tournament including a long range blast out of a free kick that bounced over the head of the keeper into the back of the net in West Virginia’s 1-0 win in overtime against TCU in the Big 12 Tournament Championship contest.
Defense wins championships. Brewster was also was a rock solid factor and stabilizing ingredient in a tough Mountaineer defense. She put in a full 90 minute shift in West Virginia’s 2-1 win over Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals and in their 1-0 shutout win over Texas in the semifinals. Brewster also put in a stout 110 minutes of play in the championship shutout win over TCU.
Brewster was named the Big 12 Tournament Defensive Most Outstanding Player while teammate forward Lauren Segalla was named the Offensive Most Outstanding Player.
The Mountaineers improve to 10-4-7 and secure the program’s fifth Big 12 Tournament Championship.
