| Haley Johnson – Senior – Forward – Milwaukee – Johnson scored with a double assist from Brooke Parnello and Kayla Rollins and converted a header out of a corner kick to help power Milwaukee past IUPUI 3-1 in the Horizon League semifinals. She also drove a long bending ball that bounced over the keeper and into the back of the frame to give the Panthers the lone goal they needed to top Youngstown State 1-0 in the Horizon League Tournament Final. Milwaukee improves to 12-3-3 and secures a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the 16th time. |
| Jenna Nighswonger – Senior – Forward – Florida State – Nighswonger is a playmaker who once again came through in the clutch for the Seminoles. She scored out of a corner kick and drove a low shot into the bottom corner of the net which was saved but resulted in a rebound that stellar finisher Jody Brown sent back into the net. Florida State comes from a goal down to top North Carolina 2-1 in the ACC Tournament Title match. Florida State wins their third straight ACC Championship and first under head coach Brian Pensky. The Seminoles are now 13-2-3 overall. |
| Brecken Mozingo – Junior – Forward – BYU – Mozingo had a three goal week during which she scored once in BYU’s 6-0 win over San Diego and twice in their 2-1 win over LMU. She scored from the top of the penalty arc in BYU’s 6-0 win over San Diego and converted a penalty kick and sent a left-footer into the back of the net from just outside the penalty arc in the win over LMU. Monzingo has 12 goals and 10 assists on the season. BYU completes regular season play with a 10-2-6 overall record and 6-0-3 mark in West Coast Conference play. |
| Ally Schlegel – Redshirt Senior – Forward – Penn State – Schlegel made a move to create the space she needed to slot a shot into the back of the net after receiving a cross from Payton Linnehan and converted a header with a double assist from Mieke Schiemann and Natalie Wilson to help power sixth seeded Penn State past number one seeded Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament Final. Penn State improves to 13-4-3 overall and claims the Big Ten’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. |
| Catherine Barry – Junior – Forward – South Carolina – Barry scored and contributed the assists on the goals scored by midfielder Megan Spiehs and forward Payton Patrick in the Gamecocks 3-0 win over Mississippi in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. She also scored the lone goal and converted her attempt in the penalty kick shootout in the semifinals in which South Carolina advanced by Georgia in pks after the contest was tied 1-1 at the end of 110 minutes of play. Barry also was a key contributor in the Gamecocks 1-0 win over Alabama in the championship game. South Carolina improves to 13-3-5. |
| Julia Leas – Senior – Midfielder – Georgetown – Leas was once again a rock solid presence and key ingredient on the defensive side of the ball for a stout Hoyas backline. She helped the Hoyas claim their third consecutive Big East Championship with a 1-0 win over Creighton in the semifinals and a 1-0 win over Xavier in the championship match in which Georgetown held a very good Musketeer team to only one shot on goal. Georgetown improves to 14-1-5. The Hoyas extend their unbeaten streak to 17 contests. |
| Korbin Albert – Sophomore – Midfielder – Notre Dame – Albert scored three impressive goals in Notre Dame’s 3-3 tie with Florida State in the semifinals of he ACC Tournament. FSU prevailed in a contest that came down to a penalty kick shootout. Regardless Albert who is capable of taking over a game had a stellar performance on the offensive side of he ball for the Irish who are now 14-2-3. |
| Jordan Brewster – Fifth Year Senior – Defender – West Virginia – Brewster scored what proved to be the game-winning goal out of a free kick from long range that bounced over the head of the goalkeeper into the back of the frame to give the Mountaineers the edge they needed to top TCU 1-0 in double overtime in the championship match of the Big 12 Tournament. She was also part of a tenacious West Virginia defense that shutout Texas 1-0 in the semifinals. Brewster also provided the game-winner in the Mountaineers 2-1 win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 quarterfinals. West Virginia improves to 10-4-7 and has now won four conference titles in the last six seasons. |
| Rylie Curran – Senior – Defender – Northern Arizona University – Curran converted the game-winning penalty kick and put in a solid 110 minutes of play on the defensive side of the ball to help the Lumberjacks advance past Weber State in penalty kicks after the contest was tied at the end of regulation and overtime. She also converted the game-winning penalty kick and was a key ingredient in a stout NAU defense as the Lumberjacks secured the Big Sky Tournament Championship by topping Idaho in a penalty kick shootout after the contest was scoreless at the conclusion of 110 minutes of play. Northern Arizona claims both the Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament titles for the first time in program history. |
| Kaylin Martin – Redshirt Senior – Defender – USC – Martin placed a shot into the back of the net at close range out of a corner kick and put in a full 90 minute shift for a stout Trojan defense that shutout highly regarded UCLA 2-0 to conclude regular season play with a 12-2-3 overall record and 8-1-2 mark in Pac-12 play. Anna Smith had a five save evening to post the shutout in goal for USC. The win was the Trojan’s first over UCLA since 2015. |
| Anja Suttner – Senior – Defender – Hofstra – Suttner was a key contributor and stabilizing force on both sides to the ball for the eighth seeded Pride. Hofstra advanced past Monmouth in a match that was determined by penalty kicks in CAA Tournament quarterfinals. They then topped Towson 2-0 in the semifinals and number three seeded Northeastern 2-1 in the championship game to become the first number eight seed to win the CAA conference tournament. Suttner put in a full shift in each of the contests. The Pride improves to 10-7-4. |
| Emma Konsmo – Freshman – Goalkeeper – Omaha – Konsmo was a difference maker for the Mavericks. She had a six save evening between the pipes In Omaha’s 1-0 upset win over South Dakota State in the Summit League tournament semifinal contest. She followed that up with a stellar and gutsy performance in the championship match in which Omaha prevailed in penalty kicks after the contest was scoreless at the conclusion of regulation. Konsmo had eight stops in the championship match including a crucial save during the penalty kick shootout. Omaha secures the programs first ever Summit League Title and NCAA Tournament berth. |
| Bente Pernot – Freshman – Goalkeeper – San Jose State – Pernot had a career-high nine saves including two of four shots in a penalty kick shootout with New Mexico in the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament. Pernot also converted a penalty kick in the shootout with New Mexico in which San Jose State prevailed 4-2 after the contest was scoreless at the end of regulation and two overtime periods. She followed that up with four saves including two stops in a penalty kick shootout as San Jose State prevailed over number one seed Wyoming in the subsequent championship match which was scoreless at the conclusion of 110 minutes of play. The San Jose State Spartans are now 8-6-7 overall. |
