College Soccer News National Team Of The Week - Week Ending November 8, 2015

Kyle Parker - Senior - Forward - Charlotte Parker has now found the back of the net twelve times this year including a school-record eight consecutive contests. He converted a header in the second half of play off an assist from Callum Montgomery to jump start the 49er attack in a 3-1 win over UNCW. He also scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with a double assist from Brandt Bronico and Harrison Steadman in Charlotte's 3-0 on the road win in CUSA play over UAB. Charlotte is now 10-5-2 overall with a 6-1-1 mark in conference play.   
David Olsen - Sophomore - Forward - Seattle Olsen continues to light up the back of the net on a regular basis for the Redhawks and earns another spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. He had a two goal evening to lead Seattle to a 2-0 win over a good Utah Valley play in a WAC contest. His first goal came in the final minute of the first half when he decisively placed a header into the right corner of the goal. His second goal was a deft one-timer from inside the box that he slotted just inside the right post. Junior defender Sam Langston contributed the helper on both goals. Seattle improves to 16-3-0 with a 9-1-0 mark in WAC action. 
Eryk Williamson - Freshman - Forward - Maryland  Wiliamson was part of what looked to be a supercharged Maryland attack when he found the backof the net twice to lead the Terps to a 3-1 win over Big Ten opponent Rutgers in their final regular season contest of the year. He also converted a header in Maryland's 5-2 win over Michigan in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. The Terps improved to 9-5-4 overall and move forward to face Indiana in Bloomington on Friday in what looks to be an exciting semi-final match in the Big Ten Tournament. 
David Goldsmith - Junior - Forward - Butler  Goldsmith utilized his left foot to drive a ball into the back of the net in Butler's 3-0 win over Xavier in their final 2015 regular season contest. He also netted both of Butler's goals in their 2-2 tie with Providence in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament. Goldsmith has scored a total of eleven goals this year. Providence advanced past Butler by virtue of a penalty kick shootout and will face Georgetown in the Big East Tournament semifinals. Paul Snape's Butler squad is now 10-4-4 overall. 
Guillermo Delgado - Junior - Midfielder - Delaware Delgado and his Blue Hen teammates are undefeated in their last seven contests and appear to be gaining momemtum. Delgado scored from eight yards out off a double assist from Nick DiRienzo and Thomas de Villardi and added the insurance goal form twelve yards out with an assist from Daniel Laguna to help Delaware defeat UNCW 3-1 in the CAA Tournament. They now advance to face Elon on Friday in a semi-final match. The Blue Hens improve to 10-6-3. 
Jackson Yueill - Freshman - Midfielder - UCLA  The highly regarded Bruin newcomer controlled a loose ball at the edge of the box and skillfully created the space and angle he needed to send a shot into the far side post netting in UCLA's 4-1 win over Oregon State. Yueill also scored twice to help the Bruins secure a solid 2-1 victory over Washington to improve to 10-7-1 overall with a 5-3-1 record in Pac-12 play. 
Leon Schwarzer - Sophomore - Midfielder - USC Upstate Schwarzer played a key role for the Spartans in two big Atlantic Sun Conference tournament wins to send USC Upstate to the championship match on Saturday against North Florida. He scored twice including the game-winning goal in overtime in USC Upstate's 3-2 first round win over Jacksonville. He also assited on Gordon Wilds goal and contributed a goal to send the contest into overtime in the Spartan's 4-3 upset win over FGCU. Teammate Michelangelo Dovidio produced the golden goal for the Spartans in that win. USC Upstate improves to 7-6-1 overall.  
Garrett Heine - Junior - Midfielder - George Washington  Heine has been a difference maker and impact player on the offensive side of the ball for the Colonials all season. He netted his team best ninth goal in the 101st minute of play when he converted a penalty kick after being fouled in the box to give GW the edge they needed to top Saint Louis on the road in an Atlantic 10 Conference contest. George Washington improves to 10-7-0 overall with a 6-2-0 mark in conference play to claim their first A-10 regular season title since the 2011 campaign.   
Kyle Culbertson - Senior - Midfielder - Ohio State  Culbertson scored twice to lead the Buckeyes past Michigan 3-1 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium to claim the Big Ten Regular Season title before a crowd of 3,448 fans. He also netted the Buckeyes's lone goal in overtime with an assist from Austin Bergstrom to propel Ohio State past Penn State in a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal match.  The Buckeyes look to have momentum as they improve to 12-5-2 overall record and will host Rutgers in a Big Ten Tournament semifinal match on Friday. 
Brandon Aubrey - Junior - Defender - Notre Dame The Irish defender from Plano, Texas decisively drove a header into the back of the net out of a corner kick served in by Patrick Hodan during the 87th minute of play to give Notre Dame the edge they needed to top Virginia 1-0 in quarterfinal action in the ACC Tournament. The goal was Aubrey's third of the year. The Irish improve to 10-3-5 overall and advance to face highly regarded Wake Forest on Wednesday night at Spry Stadium in Winston-Salem in what should be a dandy college soccer contest. 
Nick Wysong - Senior - Defender - Western Michigan Wysong has been an impact player and key contributor on both sides of the ball for the Broncos who topped non-conference foe Bradley 1-0 and MAC opponent Buffalo 1-0 this week to improve to 11-3-4 with a 3-1-1 mark in conference play. Wysong sent a shot just inside the right post out of a free kick in the win over Bradley and was part of a tenacious Western Michigan defense that has posted twelve shutouts so far this year. Senior Sean Conerty netted the game-winner for the Broncos in the win over Buffalo. RS sophomore Drew Shepherd notched the shutout in goal against Bradley and senior netminder Chase Rau secured the clean sheet in the contest with Buffalo.  
Wade Hamilton - Senior - Goalkeeper - Cal Poly   The senior netminder from Murrieta, California continues to come up big in goal for the Mustangs. This week he recorded his eighth clean sheet of the season to date and his eighteenth career shutout with a seven save effort to help Cal Poly top UC Irvine 1-0. Junior forward Justin Dhillon netted the lone goal for the Mustangs who secured their first ever win in Big West Conference Tournament play to advance to face Cal State Fullerton in a semifinal match on Wednesday. Hamilton's play between the pipes is one of the key reasons behind Cal Poly's effectiveness this year. The Mustangs are now 11-3-5 overall with a 5-1-4 mark in Big West play.
