College Soccer News National Team Of The Week - Week Ending November 2, 2014

Andy Craven - Senior - Forward - North Carolina  Craven earns another spot on the College Soccer News Team of the Week after recording a hat trick to lead the Tar Heels past Georgia Southern 6-2. The trifecta increased Craven's goal total year to date to eleven. Craven's first goal was set up when he made a nice run and received a text book cross from teammate Alex Olofson. His second score came from eight yards out when he alertly sent a deflection into the net. His third score came from fifteen yards out after he made a nice move to create the space needed to finish.   
Nick DePuy - Sophomore - Forward - UCSB

DePuy netted the lone goal of the contest in overtime after receiving a cross from Ismaila Jome to give a very focused UC Santa Barbara side the edge they needed to defeat UC Davis 1-0.  He also scored from fifteen yards out and drove a header into the back of the frame from ten yards out with Ludwig Ahl providing the assist on both goals to help power the Gauchos past Cal Poly on the road before a sold out crowd at Spanos Stadium in San Luis Obispo. 

Andy Bevin - Senior - Forward - West Virginia  Bevin had another very productive week of play in which he played a key role in two Mountaineer wins. He contributed the assist out of a free kick on teammate Mike Desiderio's game winning goal in West Virginia's 1-0 win over Penn. He also netted a hat trick to lead the Mountaineers past Buffalo 3-0. West Virginia is now 10-6-1 overall with a 2-1-1 mark in Mid-American Conference play. 
Brandt Bronico - Sophomore - Midfielder - Charlotte Bronico scored the lone goal in Charlotte's 1-0 win over Wake Forest and also netted what proved to be the game winning goal with an assist from Monbo Bokar in Charlotte's 4-1 victory over Florida Atlantic. The 49ers continue to play well on both sides of the ball and improve to 13-2-1 overall with a 5-1-1 mark in CUSA action. 
Adam Najem - Sophomore - Midfielder - Akron Najem played a key role in two Akron wins. He contributed a hat trick to lead the Zips past Cleveland State 5-0 in a non-conference contest and converted a crucial penalty kick in Akrons's 2-1 win over Northern Illinois in an MAC matchup. Najem has scored ten goals to date including four game winners. The Zips improve to 10-5-1 with a 3-1-0 mark in MAC play.  
Jamie Dell - Senior - Midfielder - UNCW Dell has had a banner season for the Seahawks. He became the first UNCW player since 2005 to score ten goals in a single season when he found the back twice to lead the Seahawks past Drexel 3-0. His first goal came when he skillfully placed a shot just inside the near post after receiving a chip pass from junior forward Colin Bonner. His second score came out of a breakaway that was also set up by Bonner. UNCW improves to 12-3-2 with a 5-2-1 mark in CAA play. 
Colin McAtee - RS Junior - Midfielder - Michigan McAtee contributed a goal and an assist to help power the Wolverines past a good Oakland team 3-1. He also netted what proved to be the game winning goal off an assist from Ahinga Selemani to propel Michigan past Big Ten rival Michigan State 3-2 on the road to reclaim the Big Bear Trophy. McAtee has scored a total of eight goals so far this year. The Maize and Blue improve to 6-7-3 with a 3-2-2 mark in Big Ten play. 
Michael DiCesare - Senior - Midfielder - UMBC  DiCesare, a reserve midfielder, took advantage of the opportunity he was afforded on senior night and netted three goals to lead UMBC past Vermont 5-1. His first goal came from close range when he sloted a shot inside the near post after receiving a pass from Michael Scott. His second goal was from six yards out after receiving a well played ball from Kay Banjo. His third score came when he controlled and then sent a rebound of teammate Marquez Fernandez's shot into the back of the net to secure a hat trick.  
Corey Baird - Freshman - Midfielder - Stanford Baird and his teammates took to the road to secure a tie and a win in Pac-12 play. Baird scored twice in Stanford's 2-2 tie with UCLA. He recovered the rebound of Bobby Edwards' shot and skillfully slotted it back into the back of the net. He also sent a volley to the near post with Edwards and Zach Batteer combining for the assist. The Cardinal also defeated San Diego State 1-0 with redshirt senior Austin Meyer netting the game winner to improve to 10-2-3 overall with a 3-1-3 mark in Pac-12 play.     
Sergio Campbell - Senior - Defender - Connecticut Campbell anchored a stout Connecticut defense that shutout Ivy League foe Yale 1-0 in overtime and shutout American Athletic Conference opponent South Florida 1-0 to improve to 9-6-2 overall with a 6-1-1 marke in conference play. The win over South Florida avenged an earlier season loss to the Bulls and gave the revitalized Huskies the top seed in the upcoming American Athletic Conference Tournament.   
Phanuel Kavita - Senior - Defender - Clemson  Kavita was an important part of a very solid Clemson Tiger defense that shutout South Florida 3-0 and North Carolina State 2-0. Kavita also converted a penalty kick in the win over South Florida. A hot Clemson team is 5-0-1 in their last six contests to improve to 10-6-1 overall with a 5-2-1 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference action.  
Borga Angoitia - Senior - Goalkeeper - Quinnipiac Angoitia continues to be a force between the pipes for the Bobcats. He had five saves in goal to anchor a Quinnipiac defense that shutout Siena 2-0. In that contest he also was credited with the assist on teammate Machel Baker's insurance goal. He also had eight saves in goal as the Bobcats topped Iona 2-1 to secure the regular season MAAC title. Angoitia's play in goal is among the reasons that Quinnipiac is undefeated in their last eleven contests with a 9-4-4 overall record and 6-0-3 mark in conference play.
